Help pls, I got banned.

I just got reported and banned for 14 days.

This is the only log i have, i just said '%%%' to say that the person is really mean to ban a champ that i specifically chose to put down to play. Then i was getting killed in lane so I said 'he is so bloody annoying'.

I also did not say anything against another player saying that they should do anything and I did not attempt to insult anyone in any way.

I ended the game with 'ggwp' as well so this is the first time I have said anything rude.

I promise that I have NEVER said anything else like this in any other game, and you are supposed to get these suspensions because you have done this a lot of times...

Please help because this is really bad especially on christmas.

If I can't do anything about this, What will this restrict me to do and for how long (free gifts etc)

UPDATE: So i didn't know that '%%%' is homophobic and REALLY insulting and i did something pretty bad, so i will just have to accept the ban.

I know, btw that I did not mean cigarette, I was trying to get out of it.

You trying to dodge after insulting someone using homophobic slur for "it's a cig" obviously didn't work and you knew better.

Next punishment will be a permaban. I'd suggest you not to test the system like that nor talk to your team nor your enemies like that.

What you triggered was a zero-tolerance word. Which skips your first two offense. You're now on your last. You don't get a chat restriction on this one. Warn ya, after you're off your 14-day ban, you'll be on very very VERY thin ice. Any sort of negative comments, don't even need slurs, cuss words, or anything negative in general, you'll go straight to a permaban.

If I was you, I'd turn off chat for a very very long time and just use pings or emote to communicate. You have to be active in order to go down in punishment tiers in order to get chat restrictions. Till then, be wary.

oh damn, all of my other friends say it on league but never get banned, and i've been called one but I don't take it seriously as I didnt think it was so bad.

You can't be serious. How do you think a homophobic slur is not bad? All slurs, hate speech, and racism is a terrible thing. Not just bad. As for your friends, they probably dodged a bullet because if someone did ever report them, they'd be flagged.

Riot does not believe a slap on the wrist warning should be necessary to know this type of language is unacceptable - hence the immediate escalation to a relatively extreme punishment.

Offensive to people in general. Not just to homophobes. EDIT: Wait, Homophobes? We mean homosexuals, here. Homophobes would be the ones most likely to use that term. Weird slip-up there.

You knew what the term meant, and you tried to pass it off as a less-offensive term. You don't insult someone by calling someone "a cigarette" - nobody does that. That's only something people say when they know they're crossing a line.

So even if you could plead ignorance, everyone knows you weren't and aren't.

Maybe, just MAYBE, if you'd said you were "going outside to smoke a '%%%' or three" - AND you ALSO play on the EUWest server - Rito might view this differently.

But even that's a stretch.

Racism, homophobia, hate speech, and death threats are treated differently than all other verbal punishments. The previously mentioned instances are accelerated bans, meaning you get punished at a higher level instantly.

The censored word you used is short for a word that is largely negative and discriminatory towards homosexuals, and as such falls under the homophobic/hate speech category. Riot has no tolerance for this type of language and thus results in an escalated punishment, skipping the chat restrictions and jumping straight to a 14 day ban.

No, before you say anything, I 100% know that the word is also another word for cigarette, however looking at your chat logs I'm certain there's absolutely no way you intended to use this meaning. You used it as an insult towards another player and that is definitely unacceptable in League.

Unluckily for you Riot is not gonna revert the ban. Here is a list of every word filtered (might be outdated though), be careful when you use them. (the word you said), kys, (pejorative word for black) and their alternatives are very likely to get you banned on the spot so just don't ever mention them in a public chat.

bloody hell, its not working. i just said the british word for cigarette, you should look it up if you don't know. I didn't mean cigarette but I didn't mean it to be racist or homophobic

That's the equivalent of saying kys for "know your shit" or "keep yourself safe". Riot assumes you know its meaning since you're using it. Just be careful.

If you need a tip to swear less, replace everything with a funny word. Things like piece of ship or duck does it for me (a piece of ship/a fucking duck target banned me). The automated system won't ban you for using these, as long as you're not spamming you're safe.

First of all, Urban Dictionary is not a serious site. It's a joke site, meant for people with a crude sense of humor who want really abstract terms to throw about with their friends.

Second, their definition for the term is literally ripped from an episode of South Park, which is a show known for tasteless, crass humor.

If you want a more reliable source for terminology and their definitions, I recommend Thesaurus. It's a serious site meant to serve as an online dictionary.

So i might have gotten banned because i restated the word to say it's meaning. oops. Apparently I was banned for being homophobic and racist, which i don't really know how that links.

Bans for this shouldn't exist. If they can implement trigger words in an automated punishment system, then why not a censorship filter?

Also tired of the inconsistency and this system's inability to distinguish the difference between actual toxic players and players who just want to type a stupid word that can be globally censored.
