She's gone for the rest of the game. but not only that she gets a leaver buster... FROM A BOT GAME!!! but she also got reported and now we're placed in a lower priority Que... FROM A BOT GAME!!! What the heck riot I thought you were smarter than this.

That honestly sucks. Never did I think this was even possible.

Bot game as in you are playing "vs AI" or as in playing in a "custom" game with/against bots?

If you two are playing "vs AI", other than you and your friend, there would be 1 or 3 other actual players in that game, depending on if you are in TT or SR map. In this case, your friend dc'ing still affect other players' experience of the game. If so, the leaver buster is just doing what it is suppose to. (Although, I am not sure leaver buster are suppose to trigger after 1 single game of dc, or if that is even fair.) And other players can report your friend afk, as it is what they experienced.

But if you are in "custom" with only you and your friend and some bots. Then I agree this shouldn't be an issue.

No, cause even in Co-op Vs. AI leaving/afking still puts your team at a numbers disadvantage and is worsening the experience that your teammates are having just like it would in a PvP match. From the old Leaverbuster FAQ:

Q: Can I get a leave for quitting a co-op vs AI game? A: Yes. You are also abandoning your fellow players there.

If you know that you're having connection issues or that you may have to leave soon then just stick to Custom Bot games since Leaverbuster doesn't apply to them.
