I was waiting to game to load up but it never did I open up another tab and it said you have lost connection to server so I closed the program and retry but it still wouldn't connect until I decided to log out and log in again but by then the match was over and I was reported as afk even though i desperately tried to join back in several times. My question is will this greatly harm with the people i play with and is their a greater chance of me getting banned?

IIRC, you are allotted a limited number of forgiveness for leaves, in the case of real life emergencies and such. This number is slowly restored over time, but can be consumed quickly if your not using it for emergencies as intended.

If you don't make a habit out of it, it should be fine. As far as bans are concerned.

The players you left? Intentionally or otherwise, they were screwed over. 4v5 is possible to win, but not easy.
