Unfair chat ban, Trio queue power, #MakeNAgreatAgain

Unfortunately I can't copy and paste the chat logs because that does not work on the message I received on the chat ban. I played with a trio two games in a row two nights ago. This is not exaggerated at all.

the only common theme in both games is that i said i wanted to make NA great again. I feel like ive been the victim of prejudice. I may have used cuss words but not excessively and there is a filter built into the game if they dont want to see that kind of language. Anything that I said that could be interpreted as verbal was only in retort to something the actual harassment player was saying to me or a teammate. I am a big fan of freedom of speech and I feel like riot is unfairly attacking our freedom of speech with this kind of unjustified player reporting system that could actually cause me to lose the account ive played for years based on a group of people being mad they lost at a video game. In one of the games our top lane started flaming our jungle for not ganking because he was losing lane. Our top laner was Ryze, theirs Ekko. I watched him flame the jungle for his plights for a little while then I hit him with some logic. I basically said it would be pointless for our jungle (pantheon) to gank his lane because Ekko had a 2 kill advantage 70 cs and 2 levels higher than both jungle and top lane. I told the top laner it would result in ekko 1v2 both of them for a double kill.

In both of these games I was playing ADC and my duo was jungle and I was working very well with the trio team's support and winning lane with a kda of about 4:1.

The most I did was chastise their flaming player which i think is fully acceptable.

TL ; DR got reported because one of the players from each trio was upset and had a terrible game.

Without the chat logs, there's really nothing we can use to assess how valid the chat restriction is. However, I can offer a few things:

Anything that I said that could be interpreted as verbal was only in retort to something the actual harassment player was saying to me or a teammate.

Your actions are yours alone, and you alone are responsible for them. The actions of others are judged by their own as well. Mute, report, and move on.

Which is irrelevant. First Amendment specifically dictates that Congress (and the Supreme court has extended it to the entirety of the government) cannot restrict speech. Riot is not part of the government. As a private business, they can do a lot of things that the government cannot, including punishing players for speech-related offenses.

Maybe, maybe not. Without logs, we cannot say whether your chastisement was appropriate. If all you said was "Ekko would get an easy double kill and get more ahead if you gank", that seems fine to me. If you got more aggressive than that, probably not.

Multiple reports in one game = 1 reported game. Group reporting doesn't add any value.

Yes, "victims" of harassment should face chat bans if they are also being toxic.

"Chastising their flaming player" is not useful in any way, just report them.

Just say something nice to the guy being flamed.

Sure, a big fan of freedom of speech, but don't even know the meaning of it. I'm not even from the USA and know, that it doesn't work like you think ... Now go back to school and learn something about the Bill of rights.

Ok I got the games when I logged in today. Keep in mind if I said anything harsh I was getting completely verballed by their Ryze in Game 1 and their katarina in game 2.

I understand the mute and move on thing, but talking to people and people saying things that might upset a person are a part of life. Where do we draw the line between people getting mad and needing to remove normal human interaction from a game?
