Reports/Chat system/Toxicity--What has the game come to?? Oh and riot as well

This ever growing game has reached a point where it almost seems like the no. of people that play for the team and play for the fun and fulfillment of their competitiveness has heavily been outweighed by the people that play with aggression, steam rolling every team mate verbally in game and intentionally feeding if things do not go their way. I mean Riot created a mute button for this but the outweighing has rendered even this method useless to stop a bunch or idiots ruining game experience single handedly either for satisfaction or just as a part of their natural behavior. You meet a toxic, blood line cursing idiot in almost every game and from personal experience i can say (been playing for 4 yrs) that 50% of these idiots rage for satisfaction. The truth is no matter how many Riot threads come up regarding the banning of toxic players, the toxicity never ends, so what is the point? I mean in a game there are on an average 4 out of the 10 people that play for fun/competitive nature/winning/team play, 4 that are just here to while away some extra time they have and 2 on each side of the teams that play solely to ruin the game's image. So you meet one of these psychos in a game and you mute them. For a while all goes well and then suddenly you realize that the muted being has realized hes been muted and to annoy you further he/she runs it down your lane or takes your camps if you are the jungle. As much as you wanna blow out on these %%%s (excuse my language but im honestly frustrated to the point that i cannot help myself right now) you dont because you know a report will push you that much closer to a punishment yourself. So there you are sitting in front of the laptop/computer with you brain overflowing with the feeling of disgust stopping itself from using the chat system to respond to the idiot. 30-40 mins pass by and the game ends and as much as you wish that this one time your single report counts as the only report that gets the idiot premabanned it is not so.

I mean what is the use of the mute button?? It only stops you from seeing toxic chat it doesnt stop the idiots from annoying you further. You can even hide the chatbox but you cannot hide the fact that your game has/is been/being ruined by a few salty psycopaths that were probably born on this planet solely for getting on others' nerves. And lets say in the worst case scenarios you do type one small thing to the person and get reported chances are you will be pushed to the punishment barrier hardcore. Riot says that usually reports coming from people that have a history of false reporting do not contribute to you getting a punishment but phish phoshhh. Its like gathering a massive crowd and declaring a fast as a fight against a wrong law implementation and going to the bathroom and eating hamburgers while the crowd thinks you are being the leader with just the right mindset and thoughtfulness. I have waited a whole year with patience to see what riot does about these idiots and seeing a growth in the number rather than a decrease i though i should finally type in the boards and ask for opinions so a collective thought and idea group can be hopefully be viewed by a riot staff member and be discussed on. Before i forget, another thing i have seen is that there is a large number of people that play on NA but due to lack of english literary skills they ruin the game experience cuz it becomes hella hard to communicate with them. You mute a trashcan, they start spam pinging you and annoy the living crap out of you to the point where you feel like someone has tied you up with a wheelchair and the wheelchair is running down a slope that ends up as a cliff. Honestly perma ban for toxic dumpsters is viable but there should be much more applied to people that are consistently reported for not just toxicity but inting and -ve attitude as well. I mean having employees that rush to such idiots' residences and break their gaming equipment would be lovely but it would be too much work cuz of the number of these fools that are in this game. What i mean to hence say is if you want a player to somehow escape this situation, a system more than just muting is required to deal with this kind of bulls*. One last thing i would like to point out is for you (Riot) to please display accurate info. I mean before i decided to type this i had gone into a load of threads from riot about toxic players and toxic players about riot (the ones that got permabanned) and i saw something that kind of felt funny to me.

A few people had posted their reform cards after getting permanently banned for toxicity and i noticed something funny in all of those. It said something like "you are a part of the 0.06% of the community toxic enough to be permanently banned" and i honestly could not stop laughing. Here is why:

I compared two posts and saw that the difference between them was almost 8-9months between the posts (both from diff people). Soooooo, in 8-9 months the % of salty idiots has neither gone up nor decreased. Is that not weird? Let us be honest to the players that play this game Riot. You go on and on talking tales about trying to make the league community more sportsmanlike but you cannot show the community actual figures. And if we are being honest to ourselves and to others let us all face the fact that instead of a decrease we have seen an increase in the avg no. of games played where we had to deal with a retard. So what does this lead us to:

  1. Riot is scared to show us the actual figures because they might have increased and since they talk big on making a sportsmanlike community through punishments it would make riot look like fools.
  2. The number has actually been the same (which i do not think could ever happen in a million years)
  3. The number displayed is intentionally this small and same so the person getting banned feels bad that he got himself to become a part of this small community inside another bigger community and reflects on his deeds (which i doubt lmao)
  4. Riot is too busy with other things that they have forgotten to change the mechanized and preset messages.

My point is we are playing a game where every game feels like death cuz of a few players and after seeing a billion threads related to the same topic i have typed this novel on, it feels dissapointing to see Riot not give a penny's worth to this matter and hurts to see them overlook this major concern. Now im not sure if they discuss this matter or not but it feels like they dont but the time they have taken from the last time they change the punishment system to the presetn time is a loooooootttt ot have made huge differences. The one thing i support though is riot not giving a damn about people begging for urf to come frequently in rotating game mode queue cuz that would have made this fun game mode boring like the others cuz after playing a mode a few times like 2 times in a months time kinda makes it boring. SO gj there Riot.

We live in a world with varying mindsets and thought processes so when i type this i do not expect just upvotes and for everyone reading to agree with me but i think personally this thought of mine matches with the thoughts of many so i decided to put it out and see if it can make a difference. That said gl to all the readers on the fields of justice![slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Yes, it has likely deviated slightly. But keep in mind;

Let's assume some drastic change, like 50% more perma-banned players than before. What percent does that equate to in the end when comparing the entire player base?

0.09% now. That's still a small number.

What about something more realistic, like a 10% change?

0.066%

Following that, what would the change in the number even mean?

Let's say the number went up. It could mean that Riot was handing more perma-bans out for cases that wouldn't have deserved it before. But it could also mean that Riot was getting better at catching those that do deserve the punishment, but were avoiding the system until now. It could mean that the number of people who are deserving perma-bans are increasing. It could mean the number of players who don't deserve a perma-ban are leaving because of the community.

So without context, the number simply represents that an extremely small amount of people actually get perma-banned. And I find it extremely rare for someone to come to the board with what I consider to be an undeserved perma-ban.

Edit: fixed a math error

Wow that was a long rant, but yes I agree.

I like when I queue for support and the adc bans the support I picked because he doesn't like it. I QUEUED support, I didn't pick fill for it, let me be my best support!
