I am really scared, 1 press of a button might cost my account

Hello, so I recently played a game where I was rammus, we had a jax who gave up inhib turret at 15 min and I was frustrated, I said things like "better top wins" "this jax" and so on, but later on apologized. At like the 25th min I pressed a button on my Razer mouse, (there is a program for macros) that spammed "k#s" in chat. It wasn't meant to be used in league AT ALL. It was so me and my friends were spamming in a messenger group we created. Anyways I pressed it and it spammed kyys around 15 times. Then I stopped and realized "he might be thinking i legit want him to, you know" so I apologized and told him

Why do you have a macro for telling someone to kill themselves? that's just excessive and intentional. You went that extra mile to make sure you could be easily toxic... I just don't understand what possessed you to do this.

You can try and open a support ticket but based on your chat log and the fact that you said you made a macro to spam kys.... I don't think you'll get unbanned...

Even if we ignore the fact that you have a macro (a pointless one in my opinion) for spamming kys (a zero-tolerance policy phrase in this game and most other games as well) there's still some poor behavior when it comes to ineracting with other players, especially jax, at a couple points:

I will admit that near the end of the game you did apologize for your behavior but what I want to know is was it just because of the macro spam or was it because you genuinely felt remorse for the way you acted early on in the game or a combination of both? Either way it is extremely unlikely that you'll get unbanned, but you can sure try to by filing a Support Ticket about it. A word of advice though: find something else to joke about that don't involve things like wishing death on others, and that includes using macros for things like that.

I feel like it was a combination of both, I genuinely feel bad not only because of the fact I got banned, I would want to get unbanned and if it does happen just chat ban me for 999999999999999999 years

Riot no longer hands out infinite chat restrictions due to the fact that players can just switch to gameplay altering means of harassing others when they can't do so in chat. Like I said though you can file a Support Ticket to try to get your account back but the chances of it being successful are slim to none honestly.

Also if ts a macro why is it inconsistent, I have macros they don't have random letters added to it like that, like u were pressing it out of rage There's no multi-line macro with keystrokes mixed in, I'd get it if 1 had it becuz I hit it while press Q trying to play but the fact that there is a Q randomly thru t makes me think you kept pressing it item 3642

Ok, I don't use Razer Synapse, so I don't know their ToS regarding account sharing, but most companies I've seen at least discourage it.

By sharing the Razer account-- and by extension macros created on it-- you share responsibility for how the account is used. You knew there was a macro to spam 'kys' associated with the Razer account and you still chose to share it instead of making sure you each had your own. You could have disabled macros before playing or even deleted the kys one.

It sucks that your account got banned, but playing while that macro was on was basically playing Russian roulette with your account.

What reason would anyone have to have a macro that causes them to spam encouragements of self-harm? What good could possibly come from it?

He shouldn't have had that macro in the first place, and it's just now coming back around to bite him.

(as an aside, you could probably get your point across a little better without insulting Shuriman God. disagreeing is one thing, but you're taking it way over the line.)

You may think that no one takes kys seriously but the community as a whole doesn't share that same mindset. The problem here isn't that he accidentally pressed a button to activate a macro multiple times but rather the fact that he said kys (a zero-tolerance phrase) multiple times and that it just so happened to be on a macro he created himself.

There's nothing wrong with being against toxic behavior and insulting those that are solves nothing and only makes you look bad. Umbral Regents points are very valid in my opinion and hopefully the OP will take this as a learning experience on what to avoid from now on.

I actually agree with SeductiveCelery. I am absolutely certain no one in the game took it seriously and I'm absolutely sure that NOONE COMMITED SUICIDE BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD THEM TO GO... YOU KNOW IN LEAGUE. I am certain that this Jax or Ekko saw the message and were like "lol ez he will get banned XD" And by the way, I pressed the macro 1 time, it spams 1 kyz in a frame, my friend made it so that he can spam minecraft servers... and because i pressed it for 1/4th of a second I get my account permad... if it wasn't directed at anyone I don't really see why somoene should be offended. Yes I did insult jax before, but I apologized he insulted me back and if from a couple of "youre 2iq, youre bad" phrases you get permabanned, 90% of the honor level 5 people should be in the "0.006%".

That doesn't make it okay, nor does it exempt you from the rules. Just because you had one match full of people who were unfazed by it doesn't mean that the next match you couldn't have had people less-so resilient - and what, pray tell, do you think excuses you from telling others to kill themselves in that case?

It just doesn't make any sense to me why anyone would create a macro for that, and it makes even less sense to me as to why you would also have it. I don't do anything with Razer, but surely to god you can change or remove macros from your mouse.

Just because you didn't direct it at someone doesn't mean people can't take it as though it were directed at them. Omnidirectional insults and encouragements of suicide aren't to be taken lightly - you wouldn't just shout a racist slur in a restaurant and say "I wasn't directing it at anybody!" when they move to kick you out.

Yea of course you're going to never give someone the benefit of the doubt even after I explain everything, because every time someone gets punished for toxicity that's the only thing you see, TOXICITY. Instead of looking into it you are just repeating the same thing, but you rephrase it 1000 times. That's like the prison system. It NEVER shows success. And the fact that you're telling me I should change my macro is right but it has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH LEAGUE. I pressed it on accident but "it doesn't matter you did it". That's like if someone accidentally hit you on the street vs someone telling you "I'm gonna beat you up" and beating you. I'm gonna make a dumb example but imagine you standing on the other side of the street and a guy shouts "KYS" at the sky like 10 feet away from you, you're gonna seek out to punish him?! that's what I hate about people on boards it's just robot logic.....

No, I don't. I see people who are misguided, misinformed, uninformed, or unconsciously toxic, and I try to help them. This was a case of you being uninformed - "kys", regardless of usage, is not tolerated in League of Legends, hence your increased punishment. You clearly had a prior punishment or two, elsewise you would've been bumped up to a 14-day ban, not a permanent one.

Beyond that, though, seeing all of your standalone comments, it seems to me like you don't want to accept your punishment and instead would rather play the victim, trying to say anything and everything to "contextualize" something that everyone - even you, know was against the rules. Context doesn't matter.

The only thing I've repeated in this discussion is the question of "why would someone have a macro for this?". Because, really, that's practically the only question I could be inclined to ask. That's apples and oranges. First off, you didn't "accidentally hit" someone, you used zero tolerance chat. A better example would be shouting racial slurs in a restaurant - even if you didn't intend it for anyone in specific, they're going to kick you out.

Second, your example doesn't work in League of Legends. Nobody says "I'm going to tell you to kys. ...kys.", and "accidents" aren't even remotely considered by the IFS. You say it, you get reported, you get banned for it.

I accidentally pressed a macro, that's it. I apologized, I did everything in my power to prevent anyone who might've thought it was directed at him/her thinking it was an insult, is it really you just type something and you get banned? I hope a rioter looks in the context and sees that it makes sense, I didn't do it on purpose, it shouldn't be 10000000% automated there are accidents and people who do not mean it.

If you have a macro, it will post the same thing every time. The fact that a few of those have a "q" at the end means you were typing this out, especially since we can see your macro is programmed with spaces before and directly after the k and s.

I even posted a video showing how it works you can go watch it but does it even matter when robot logic is being used when people are getting punished... it's not people that banned me and I feel like almost everyone here thinks like the ai that banned me "you said it lol - have fun perma!!!"

First of all, if you know the text in a macro contains bannable offenses in a game, don't keep the macro.
