End of season Honor and Chat Restrictions

Heads up to everyone that did not know or may be newer to the game like myself. At this stage of the season, if you get your even FIRST chat restriction (as minor as it may be) you lose all end of season rewards.

Ive never had a single disciplinary issue before, and PG13 rated lost my cool on a duo harassing a random teammate, and I had enough, I asked them to stop and got a little negative, but never cussing or becoming as vulgar or hateful as they did. And I got my first ever chat restriction. Riot is unsympathetic and has stripped all my honor and rewards.

I have wasted hundreds of dollars on this game. To have no equal opportunity for redemption or plan in place for timing allowing players to waste a whole season is so unfortunate. If you had an issue earlier in the season, you probably restored your honor by now.... but regardless of level, they strip you down to 1 at any stage in the game......

Dock me an entire honor level, but to reset me after going so far after trying to stand up for a stranger....especially for a first offense...? wow..

Good luck in your business endeavors and recruiting new players, Riot. You need to re-evaluate your system

One thing I find funny is they say a chat restriction is supposed to be a very small punishment, but it’s effects are lasting for months. its ridiculous when you think about how your reformation depends on wether your teammates honor you or not. Riot probably doesn’t even look at your chat logs to see if you are reforming. All that matters is the result, getting honors, not how you got there.

If you had an asshole that went to a movie theater and ruined it for the other 30 around him or her, despite being a loyal customer, who do you kick out? The problematic customer.

Own up to your toxicity and accept responsibility and grow up. Asking for special preferential treatment is inmature, selfish, and makes it clear the punishment is lost on you.

Good riddance if you leave.

One of the things that irritate me the most is the fact that the penalty doesn't seem to take into account any form of context. Riot chose a system where when you're the victim of a slient troll for instance, ruining your duo bot lane by stealing every farm and this rendering you completly useless since you're farm dependent, you have no tool to handle it. You can't vent, or you et reported for being negative, you can't farm, can't really go jungle unless you want your own jungler to get mad, and you have very little chance to get a win in the end. You can report it, sure, but for what ? there's not even a corresponding category. So i you ever try to stand for yourself, well then you're the annoyance and the bad guy and you can't really leave either.

It happened so often lately, can't seem to remember it happening so often previous seasons but i could be wrong. I tried contacted the support team, asked them what were their plans or if they were acutally planning to work something the player could to use to work around this kind of behaviour. Their only answer was basically telling me to suck it and reminding me anymore negativity on my account could end in a ban. I'm so thankful i contacted them. thanks, for nothing.

The flaw is there, a chat restriction is suppose to be a warning, not a full punishment. but you read the rules and violated them regardless, even if riot dosen't tell you to, you should still try not to type.

As I said chat restrictions shouldnt gut your honor at all. Only occured bans should remove your honor levels.

The same exact thing happened to me. I contacted support and they were sympathetic but refused to give any sort of leniency. I will be thinking twice about purchasing anything from riot from this point on. Absolutely ridiculous that one offense can destroy your whole season rewards

Im putting myself on blast, but was I really that bad? It’s embarassing I got baited so hard, and must have been having a bad day but... they really sucked as people. Am I blind, is it worse than I see it? Am I an awful person? worth losing all my honor over..?

I was support, there was a teemo and vayne (top and adc) that I guess got to me

I got killed during an invade while adc sat in bot lane and then jg died to same invade both to enemy adc. Good times. At 4ish minutes vayne and teemo are calling amumu a f*ing idiot for not ganking when’s he’s lvl 2with 1/4 hp into a full hp sums up lvl 4 lane... I can barely type cause I’m still trying to play but I start out saying he can’t....I’m still lvl 2 or 3 at this pt too and it’s a bad situation and they’re just being gross about it...

Then they turned on me calling me a variety of things while still slamming amumu how we were all trash, and idiots and worthless... later they’d 1v5 engage or ironically split push when they were obviously needed.... I played the whole game and supported these people when i wanted to just get out of that game. they of course wouldn’t ff and at the end said they got exactly what they were hoping for... so ya I got baited and failed...insult to injury..

Serves me right talking about getting to gold. That’s what I’m guessing I lost my honor and season rewards for? I was just proud...and they really made poor game choices.

I made a reddit thread regarding this issue, it's not fair. I can understand the punishment being harsh but losing hours, if not days spent on ranked because of one infraction, which in this and many other cases are not even supposed to be "heavy", be influenced by the time you get it is very unhealthy and needs a new revamp on this regard.

Good luck in your business endeavors and recruiting new players, Riot. You need to re-evaluate your system so good, uplifting community members aren&rsquo;t horrendously punished for one bad game considering the hundreds I&rsquo;ve played without incident.

This is unfair to good and loyal players. I have no faith in riot games.

The exact same thing happened to me, but I get a lot of you don't get banned for one game, but an overall behavioral issue. I call such BS on this. I was honor 4 before I received my chat restriction and regularly receive honors.

I got my chat restriction about 2 weeks ago so I am given 0 opportunities to receive the end of season rewards. Essentially your punishment grows more severe as the season goes on.

Player A - Toxic and receives chat restriction in May, they have 6 months to fix their honor. Player B - Same toxicity as player A, but receives chat restriction in October. Your screwed.

It shouldn't be you lose everything for your first time being disciplined. You should lose 1 rank in honor and not the whole thing. Its extremely unfair.

Some bad advice in this thread.

Only clean accounts gain honor while saying nothing in chat.

If you've been punished before you have to use chat.

I spent literally months doing the muteall strategy without a single checkpoint on my main before support leaked that to someone. Now I get them all the time.

Just like that you lost your honour....... Was that player worth protecting? Was it worth your business to get involved with something happening between 3 other players? Good to reflect on.

I am not going to comment if honor loss for chat punishments is okay or not. I only tell you that many people who have been punished do complain about that.

Instead, I tell you that the first chat restriction you get is pretty much Riots way of telling you to start behaving, or risk losing your account. Since it was your first ever punishment, you now have up to two more chances left before the final punishment (Permanent suspension). It is now up to you if you start behaving, or lose your investment to your account (money, time, friends, etc). I wish you learn to control your behavior and avoid any further punishments. That way you should be able to earn the rewards the next season.

PS: I did glance over your chat logs and found some parts which can (and did) get you punished (For example rank shaming, giving up mentality and insults towards your team). You need to get rid of that behavior if you wish to keep your account. Ah, and I didn't like your camouflaged KYS message there.
