Came back after a long break of league. Had a bad game when my client wouldn't load correctly. What followed was a ziggs taunting me, and me just responding.

Edit* The first three lines, are just cuz of the client not loading correctly, wasn't directed at anyone. the rest followed 15 minutes into the game when everyone was losing bad.

Yea it's not sunshine and rainbows, but really? this is what merits a restriction these days. Oh and When I asked for an explanation I was hit with "You were arguing" and not using the chat log as intended. You started off the game in a "negative light"

Even when I explained my side of it, the GM or whoever told me "You are not allowed to argue" and hit me with a catchall in the summoners code which basically says just because it's not in the TOS or summoners code, we can modify the rules to adjust for each case. Really?

for riot , if you insult the troll , you are toxic . it happened to me , a poppy troll support who didn't help me to cs , and teemo troll jungle made me lose and also tilt . i called them trolls and i got reported for that . chat banned for 10 matches . then again kayle troll support was about to make me rage , but i remembered that i had to take the idiotic nonsense my "team mates" may bring to me. not to mention that kayle was taking my cs .

don't even get me started with ranked games . it's full of people trying champs there. they are not willing to win.

to test how trolls bait people which is what happens here mostly, i created another account to do exactly the same thing these trolls did to me by going roaming sona , support/roaming/jungle teemo , jungle kayle (without int feeding of course) and my team mates insulted me so hard , threaten me to report me and so on.

that's how this report system works .no matter if there are two junglers trolling you , if your support enjoys watching you die while taking your cs , you must take it . and it's even worse when you are paired with premades .

But I didn't insult anyone, the worst thing I said was you're 1/2 when he brought up my KDA. Yea were "arguing" but my rule of thumb in this game is talk to people like you talk to people at work. and somehow even THAT is looked at by these admins as "negative behavior" like really? I mean am I genuinely deserving to be chat restricted for something as simple as having an argument which did NOT resort to name calling or excessive flaming?

Just for clarity, I was quoting someone ELSE who expressed the statement : "If you insult a troll, you are toxic" I was illustrating why his complaint was silly.

I did not say you were insulting anyone.

With respect to your rule of thumb (speak the way you would at work), I think it's a fairly good approximation. However, I wonder if you would really say : TODORs: and ur mid is feeding TODORs: why are you feeding TODORs: over and over again

to a co worker. I would consider that harassment, even if the coworker is in fact completely incompetent.

It's not on the same level as racism, sure, but it offers nothing constructive and has plenty of destructive potential. Either the guy IS in fact trolling and now your team has 1 troll and 1 rager, or the guy is trying his best and your bitching at him is just tilting him even further.

Note that in neither of these cases is raging at the person useful.

It serves no purpose, has the potential to cause problems AND can get you in trouble. The way I see it, there is NO reason to speak like this to people and plenty of reasons not to.

Try imagining that's one sentence instead of reading it as three different occasions. "and you're mid is feeding, why are you feeding over and over again?

It's pretty much one statement, the lines are just broken up to illustrate pauses in the sentences.

He kept asking me not to troll when I went 0/2. Told me initially I was the one trolling. I wasn't "raging" I was merely asking a simple question, implicating that he should just farm. I didn't flame nor did I go on and on, it was merely a sentence inquiring.

The problem with you saying you didnt flame is that your OP contains the chatlog in which we see you flaming the guy.

Flaming? Responding in a civil manner isn't flaming. You are just reading it as if I'm some pouty 5 year old screaming at another player. When I'm simply speaking to someone who is speaking to me. Flaming is a strong word to describe what took place in this game in this chat log.

Yes, well. I agree that responding in a civil manner isn't flaming. However you were not answering in a civil manner, that is kind of the point.

I wouldn't say I read your words as if you were some pouty 5 year old, but if that's the impression you think you're giving off, I think you should probably make the relevant changes.

The difference between you and me is that I don't speak the way you do in game. As a result, I don't get reported and I don't need to come in here to try to convice people that it's ok when I do it.

No one in particular looked like they were feeding. You did dedicate a significant portion of your chat towards one player. You had very little information conveyed that could have been useful towards winning the game.

No one was feeding, Someone pointed the finger at me and said "You're a troll, Reported for feeding." When I was merely 0/2. I pointed out that this said person was 1/2, not that much better. Just because what I say isn't useful, doesn't mean it can't be said. And, when I said your mid is feeding, that wasn't at the person, that was the enemy mid who was feeding by getting kills roaming. I merely expressed an opinion about my "not so feeding" game with xin. I pointed out someone on the enemy team was feeding. and that this person sat mid. Which, in essence, is why they won.

I don't agree with that. The more useless chat there is, the more difficult it is to find useful chat.

"Dedicate a significant portion of your chat towards one player." "Towards" is a suggestive word indicating that I was speaking AT this person, and not with. We had an argument about something, we both exchanged the same amount of words without flaming, or even using so much as a caps lock button? The difference is, I didn't report him, because like me, nothing he said was offensive, he was just "pissed" I went 0/2.

Once client doesn't load, you are already leavebusted.

So if they flame you, point this out. If they continue to waste your time you can leave.

Otherwise you'll get tilted. Remember, they want to tilt you and are getting better at it with every game they play.
