Unfair suspension

So, I got a 14 days game-suspension today, and from their reasoning I think it was pretty unfair:

Game 1 truttern: can you ward drake+ truttern: gj truttern: lux truttern: give them to him truttern: we need to focus on assasinating vayne and soraka truttern: no truttern: soraka is the reason vayne is alive truttern: yes please truttern: %%% kled truttern: greedy %%% truttern: give turr truttern: or not truttern: gg

So, to give some context, Kled and I was on very good terms all game, the "%%% kled" was simply a joke I made because he tp-ed bot to get a juicy wave I was headed for. He got the joke and it was nothing more to it. Also, it was most likely the Lux that reported me, since she reported the whole team for "being trash", "being boosted bronze players". I don't really see how this is sufficent for giving a ban, even if it was with bad intentions.

I don't usually comment in chat either, if someone is tilted or flaming I just usually mute them to avoid getting tilted. This is my first time getting a ban, and tbh I am pretty baffled by the whole incident. I have issued a ticket to riot, but do you guys think this was behaviour that deserved a ban? If this is what usually gets people banned then I understand, but I feel this was taken out of context and unfair.

Wow what a great joke. Concidering you must be reported to receive a punishment someone didnt like the joke. %%% is either telling someone to end his life or a homophobic slur, both are not tolerated by Riot and always lead to either a 14 day ban or a permaban depending on previous punishments. Since you didnt receive a 14 day ban before you got a 14 day ban. Watch out, the enxt punishment for flaming or toxicity will be a permaban.

I don't think I was reported for the joke really. I think I was reported, same as the rest of my team, becuase the lux was tilted. It was my mistake to think that such a joke is approperiate, but what I am thinking is that maybe they should have given me a warning instead of a 14 days ban. I am not saying that what they did here was totally wrong, but I feel like the punishment is kinda strict in this scenario

Riot has a 0 tolerance policy towards telling people to hurt themselfs or end their life, racism, hatespeech, homophobia and similar stuff. The 14 day ban is your warning that this stuff is completly inappropriat.

The word used was f-g-t. It is a word that is thrown around a lot and not really in a homophobic way, but more like a joking meme. I am pretty sure I have never seen those 3 letters been used as homophobic slur before, that's why I found it kinda strict. But it's duly noted, ty for reply.

I dont see it thrown arround a lot. It has a history of beeing used in derogatory ways against gay men. Its similar to the n-word.

I don't need you to believe me, but consider if what I am saying is the truth, maybe the punishment was a little strict? If the policies say that it will lead to a ban no matter what the context, then I totally understand, but I don't know their policies in and out, so I don't know if that's the case. That's why I commented more like a question as of if it was deserved or if it might have been a little strict

I see the point. Since we were not friends from before we commented in the chat. I am pretty sure it was the lux that banned me, but I will refrain from making jokes that can be considered offending and against the Riot policies in the future.

But if we can go a little into your example, let's say that me and my friend are joking around and I say something innaproperiate to him as a joke. Then one other guest asks the manager to remove me and the other 3 at my table because we are the reason why we are the reason his dinner tastes bad. Would it be approperiate to throw me out because I said something against their code of expected behavior, or would it be more reasonable to maybe give me a warning beforehand because maybe I wasn't aware that I was breaking their code?

I really wasn't aware (even though now I see that it is pretty obvious) that they didn't accept that kind of talk no matter what the context. But hypothetically, if I used the word S-l-u-t instead of f-g-t, would it then get the same punishment?
