Can I get Penalized for Telling Someone that I Reported/Muted them?

Rather than starting an argument with a toxic player, I prefer to just tell them that I reported/muted them and move on with the game. Though I am just making sure, is this considered toxic behavior and will I get penalized for saying this? Or am I safe?

Asking for reports, using reports as a weapon or leverage, and telling someone you're going to report them can be considered player harassment.

Realistically speaking I don't think you'll receive a punishment for that alone, but it could compound with other parts of your chat to warrant a punishment. It's better to just mute the person and report them at the end of the match, there's no need to tell them what you plan on doing.

Knowing Riot? YUP! And the person you report won't get anything but more games to ruin.

If you just say, "muted," then the answer is no.

if you say, "alright i muted this dumbass that's so much better," then maybe

The automated punishment system seems to be based on keywords, frequency of chat, frequency of keywords, and reports
