Can you really get banned for going the wrong lane?

So I was in a blind pick and I CLEARLY called mid first but some other guy instalocked mid and did not want to move lanes. Went ingame and he started yelling "ALL REPORT LEBLANC I WAS FIRST MID bla bla bla" (when I clearly called first). I'm worried that I am the one getting banned because the other players actually believed him and I stayed in my lane. Should I even bother reporting the player next time this happens? How would Riot gather enough evidence to determine who called the lane first and who to punish if they even punish for something like this at all?

Blind pick is literally blind pick. You can 5 man mid and it would still be legitimate. Normals is equivalent to casuals which is equivalent to anything goes with the exception of feeding/flaming/leaving.

Anyone who moans or cries otherwise or begs for reports is just simply a fool who has no self-awareness.

No, you can't be banned for going mid in a blind pick game, regardless of the call order.

Yes, you should report the player for harassing you. Begging the other team to report someone is absolutely considered harassment.

That's how you end up with two instalocked junglers. While it's good to come to agreement with your teammates on what your meta will be, it's (obviously) not required. Fight the other team, not amongst yourselves. Flaming, harassment, and "REPORT [username] PLZ" to all chat is not the way to resolve your dispute.

I'm gonna say this once. If it's not in the summoner's code, you can't get banned for it. This means that going 2 mid or any sort of crazy change from the meta is not bannable!

I once played solo adc as Cait because 2 people instalocked jungler. I reported them for flaming each other, not for instalocking.

A thing you should note is that when first entering the lobby, there's a moment were everyone's chat aren't synced up. So it's very possible for it to appear on your chat, you calling mid first but for others it gets delivered after they said something and it shows up second

One game is not going to get you banned, bans happen for persistent negative behavior and consistently going out of your way to grief other people.

The only time one game will get you banned is in extreme cases where people spend the entire game copy-pasting Mein Kampf into all chat or screaming obscenities at everyone for no reason.
