report system needs work

in a game where people were threatening to kill me and others were just afk, i recieved a chat restriction because i got reported for picking corki and going bot lane, i stayed positive for most of the game, the only negative thing i said was that vayne ruined the game by going afk after they were all saying i ruined the game. if i get punished by riot for playing an off meta champion and they dont get punished at all for literally threatening my life... something needs to change with the report system. instead of handing out 25 game chat restrictions for majority rules they should take it a little more seriously and have people to look at each case. this is the 2nd time ive got a chat restriction from a game where there were people being blatently toxic towards me, but just because they were with their friends i got majority reported

I wonder when people will actually figure out that being reported is not the same as getting punished or that more than one report doesn't matter. Probably never but... especially since it's been like this for years that being reported for something Riot doesn't punish for doesn't get you punished.

Then again maybe I'm the one that needs to learn that the people saying the stuff OP is saying don't actually believe what they say, but are just trying to spin. Especially if they don't post logs.

Not the worst logs I've seen but you do spend the majority of the game complaining about your teammates and calling for reports against them. Report-calling when used to harass others is a reportable offense.

Advice: If someone is behaving poorly in chat just mute, report and move on rather than constantly complain about them in chat. The other players get it and can see if someone is behaving poorly or not so using the chat to complain and report call solve absolutely nothing. Also, it only takes one report to flag a game for review so asking other people to report is meaningless. Lastly other people behaving poorly does not excuse your own poor behavior, so don't retaliate against the misbehavers as chances are they're looking for a negative reaction out of you.

Since this is a 25-game chat restriction it means that you've already received a 10-game chat restriction, so I would strongly advise taking a look at how you react to other people's poor behavior and try to work on that if you wish to avoid further punishments in the future.

P.S. Taking teleport does not automatically mean that the player is going top. There are some champions (specifically mid laners) that take teleport over a combat summoner and with Unsealed Spellbook being a thing it's not unheard of for people to forego TP at the start of the game in favor of a more damage/utility oriented summoner since they can just easily swap it over to TP at a later time.

Why dont you just mute them at the first sight of toxicity? Block out everything negative towards you, problem solved.

Nine reports is the same as 1. And you don't get chat restricted for saying a minor thing or two. Post logs.

There is no majority report function.
