first time ban got a 14 day ban, now what?

Last night I was playing against a guy that kept saying he was a Muslim and talked about have intercourse with children. It was late and I was tired and not thinking so I said some bad things. People who talk about having sex with kids pisses me off. I got a 14 day ban. My question is if I behave after this, after a while will I have a "clean slate". I see people say they are reporting someone for stupid reasons all the time and I don't want to lose my account. Like if I have to afk for whatever reason, say there was an emergency, and someone reports me, will I be permabanned after a long time of good behavior? This was my first ever ban or warning so I am confused to why it is a 14 day ban and not a communication ban. I really don't think what I said was deserving of it, especially considering it is my first time in trouble.

Depends entirely on your behaviour.

Yes, if you keep a clean record, after maaaany games, you will have dropped down to a "clean" account again.

That is, however, not a free pass to become toxic again after a while.

Because in case of severe toxicity, it is possible to skip punishment tiers. For the most severe (like hate speech or death threats) its even possible to get permabanned right away, with no prior warning.

If you maintain perfect behavior for a very long time, it will eventually fade. But you're looking at a year or two (possibly more) of it.

It was a 14 day ban because anytime someone is reported for saying something that involves race/sex/sexuality/gender/religion, it automatically jumps to that. Automatic permabans are also possible.

I suggest filing a ticket with Riot and explaining it.

Also depends on how many games you play. I've heard of cases where people get a clean slate after 6 months. Can't remember if it was 14-day though, probably not so it may not be the same.

Last I checked, a rough estimate is about 3 months of regular play with clean behavior will drop one tier. If you're coming off a 2-week ban, that translates to about 9 months to return to a 'clean' account standing.
