I got hacked, and then I got banned.

Basically, this is how the story goes. Monday night/morning, someone had hacked into my account and played a bunch of ranked games. I presume it some type of a bot or he intentionally fed, from looking at his stats. 12 games in a row of solid feeding and completely strange combinations of items and spells. I realize this after school on Tuesday, and immediately send a ticket to riot and change my password and email. They reply from Riot saying they cant reset the League points that this hacker dropped me too and say they were very sorry for what had happened. I feel safer and relieved over the course of yesterday and today, knowing that they know about the issue that happened, as well hoping I would still have my season rewards.

Today after school, I log into my email and find an email saying YOU HAVE BEEN BANNED FOR SECURITY ISSUES, which really makes me mad, because I got hacked and now I am permanently banned. I have spent hundreds of dollars on skins, and now my account is permanently banned. I really think riot should rethink their actions, because I have told all my friends, which is a great number( probably over like 20-30) who play league of legends to not play because Riot is a very bad company that does not try their best to keep the costumer over the Producer. I am willing to take a more serious action, but I want to hear everything that you have to say about this.

tl;dr Rito banned me because my account got hacked, and the hacker fed on purpose in a bunch of ranked games.

AFTER CONTACTING RIOT: THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT UN BAN MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE "Unfortunately as the account holder you are responsible for all security, along with all actions on the account. Other players don't know it isn't you on the account, and it still causes a negative experience for them. Since that is the case we cannot reverse the penalty."

Submit a support ticket to Riot. Explain to them (politely) what happened. I'm pretty sure that when accounts get locked for security reasons they will be unlocked once they have been secured; sounds like the account somehow got flagged after the password reset.

What I suspect happened is two different systems at play.

First, you noticed that someone else had access to your account, and immediately took measures to fix that. Second, Riot's systems detected that someone else had access to your account and indefinitely (not permanently) suspended it because of the account security failure.

These two systems do not communicate with each other.

If you send a ticket into support, they will definitely help restore access to your account for you and you alone.

Bans for security issues are not permabans. They ban the account so that no one can log into it until they work things out, and then they lift the ban.

The ban was either done automatically, or it was done manually by someone other than the guy who handled your first ticket. Either way, it was a mistake that is easily fixed.

first step is to bring it up here, like you did, and open a support ticket. riot should be able to get your account back if you can show the record of being hacked and they can reset the security information for you. this shouldn't be a common thing, so they could do it by hand and they should care about the customers and sort it out for you

Hi lis, these boards are mostly for members of the community helping each other out. There isn't much we can do to help you with account related problems.

I would recommend that you submit a support ticket with Riot here as it is the fastest way to get Riot to respond to a compromised account. Provide as much information as that form asks for as you can to speed up the process. The more information you provide the faster it should be for them to recover your account.

While you wait, I would recommend you read this article by Riot that has a lot of tips on keeping your account safe for the future. It is applicable for almost any account you have online.

I would also recommend this article by Microsoft which explains how to identify scam/phishing emails to also protect your online accounts. It's the most common way people lost access to their accounts and there is lots of helpful information in that article.

I hope that helps.

Right now, I'm feeling pretty sad as the same situation is happening to me right now. But reading the comments here, I feel some hope as to getting my account ban rescinded.

I really hope I get my account back (>T.T>)

I'd be interested in seeing any continued actions on your account. I think you got some pretty good advice already so no need for me to add anything here, just a personal thing. I'd really like to see how this works out for you.

If you don't have a problem with posting your correspondence with Riot that might be helpful to others facing or going to face this in the future. Thanks OP either way you decide to do it and Good Luck to you.
