The "Community"

Hello Riot, I would like you to try to understand where I am coming from with my "toxic"ness. Your website you emphasizes the importance of the "Community". Do you really think the "Community" needs more people that cannot even carry their own weight in a game? I play this game to relieve stress, not to log on only to spend 40 min a game with at least 1 person that does not want to win. I've never started anything unless the other player decided to cross me. All of this toxic stuff is because of the incompetence of the other player. I take it that you guys take this game seriously and understand the competitive nature of the game. If that is the case I'm sure it is understandable for people to get mad and say mean things. Especially if the things I've said are true. I have no desire for these people to get hurt, just get better. This "community" of which you speak of should want to improve not feed and pull others down. I have never bashed a player that was doing well even not so well. The players that receive my judgment are intentionally trying to ruin the game for others. Please try to understand as I have understood you.

To start: the poll question you ask here isn't relevant, because those two behaviors are far more likely to be associated with the same player than they are to be separated. It also assumes that trash talking cancels out intentionally feeding, which is simply not the case.

Now, as to the main body of your OP, I don't agree with most of what you're saying here. I'll quote the parts where I think it's worth a discussion:

I've never started anything unless the other player decided to cross me.

Regardless of who started it, toxicity is toxicity. Your wording of "cross me" is also a bit suspect, because it insinuates that you're always on the edge and ready to lash out if a player displeases you in some way.

All of this toxic stuff is because of the incompetence of the other player.

Do you feel that your toxicity helps that player become instantly more competent, and does it help you win the game? Statistically speaking, the answer to both of these questions is a resounding no.

If that is the case I'm sure it is understandable for people to get mad and say mean things. Especially if the things I've said are true.

I disagree. I get mad at the game and other players all the time, but I generally just vent to myself or privately with friends so that I don't subject other players to what I'm saying. It's never OK to be a jerk to random players, regardless of how true your points are.

I have no desire for these people to get hurt, just get better.

To return to a previous question, do you feel like being toxic towards players helps them improve?

I have never bashed a player that was doing well even not so well.

Irrelevant.

The players that receive my judgment are intentionally trying to ruin the game for others.

The wording of "your judgement" is about as suspect as "cross me", it insinuates that you feel your negativity is completely warranted when someone gets on your bad side. This is not the case, and it's really important to make that distinction.
