What is it used for? With it you can track tickets that require input or resolution from a third party. This gives you another level of detail so that you can more accurately track who currently has responsibility for a ticket.
However, it can technically be used for a variety of reasons, from looking further into an issue or request to following up with another individual. Generally speaking, Player Support might give you a reason as to why your request is set to “on hold”; if they don’t, you can always just follow up if there’s no update in about a week or so, depending on request type.
