might as well post this here now. so I received a permanent ban after playing a match with a pre made group of four who said they were going to report me for nothing and that I wasn't going to win the report war. 2 of them verbally abused me and a 3rd belittled me. I will admit I said he was a dick but only after they verbally abused me and that I said my jg was useless. another arbiter said he would consider this verbal harassment but my ban was for negative attitude. I feel like 4 reports were registered against me. I reported all of them as well but for verbal abuse. the word I said also isn't stared out in game so how can it be considered harassment. if its going to be used against me in that way it should be stared out in game. there are also other swears that are not. I might add the arbiter talking to me seemed to not take this very seriously, the fact that one of my team mates told an opponent to go kill themselves in real life. this is a punishable crime in the real world. yet I am the one getting perma banned? I wasn't racist, homophobic or anything truly terrible. I feel that my ban is simply caused by how many times I hit enter, not for what I actually said. if this is the case I should receive, and am asking for a chat restriction. I just want my account back. ive spent hundreds of dollars on it.

A 4 man pre-made simply reporting you will not wind up in a punishment unless you were displaying negative behavior in your game. Looking through your chat log, it wasn't just a matter of calling one player something, it was the consistent negative attitude you had through the entire game, the verbal abuse and harassment of other players that you displayed that lead to your suspension.

While you may have also experienced some negative feedback from your team members, it only matters what you do when it comes to your punishments. If you run into negative behavior from other players it is best to mute them or ignore them and report their actions at the end of the game. That way they are the only ones who will have to face consequences for their behavior. The moment you start fire back at them or begin to target another player you begin to validate reports made against your account.

yes but they said they were going to report me early in the game for nothing after I asked for ganks. so it literally didn't matter what I said or did or how hard I tryd they were a group of trolls who reported me for nothing and were going to regardless of me muting, and being unable to communicate with them.

its an unfair ban these people took advantage of a broken system to get me banned because its what people do for fun in this game. ive seen it before. if I ever play again, im sure I will see it again.

Bud I know you're upset, but recognize that this was the final straw in a string of toxic behavior. If these guys are consistently toxic, they'll get punished also. That won't help you, but blaming them isn't going to get you reinstated.

yea except when you actually break it down and make the chat comparisons and see the game and when everything is said, you would see that 2 lines of everything I said were actually toxic. omg I called that yi a noob! the yi that honored me after the game?

There was no taking advantage of a system to get you suspended. Looking through the chat log I can confirm the suspension was warranted. If you had not displayed negative behavior in your game and they reported you, a punishment would not have been issued.

I just get off a 14day suspension to play a game with a premade group of trolls who ruined this game for me.

If you don't fight back then you may get unban and others get ban. This does mean you have to NOT fight back at them and just mute them and play the game. I've gotten reported for "toxic" allot for saying to our vi "use the ult to dive the back line not the tanks please :)" and then she raged at me for "telling her how to play that champion" and i just muted after she said and i quote "SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU UNLESS TRASH VAYNE GO DIE FUCKTARD!!!!!" that didn't make me tilt or anything (i am a jg main so i get yelled at ALLOT) i just muted and then i think got reported by 2-3 plays the Vi and some one from the other team and maby one more. Just relax and mute them :)

Um, we have only existed for a few hours... That aside, I will address your post.

First off, receiving a ban is always the product of multiple games. The last game only triggered your ban. This means that you should consider your overall behavior.

This brings us to my second point. Riot does not believe that it is ever okay to add to toxicity. That means no "hitting back." You admit to this in your post and it's something you should work on. The best rule here is "ignore, report and move on."

and then I call him a dick for saying that. but im the bad guy. you guys are so fucking ass backwards and twisted in this community. lazy as well. automatic responses, automatic banning system that bans for next to nothing with no chat comparisons. turn the other cheek guy ignore so you cant communicate and then lose the game either way but just bend over backwards and take it. this game is going to breed generations of pussies.

Yup. Just because they were a whole lot toxic doesn't permit any level of toxicity. This is because there are now two toxic people where there was just one.

I added to toxicity in a 4vs1 situation. im sure they were hurt after they trolled me and said they were going to report regardless of what happens. then they verbally abuse and belittle me. but you know im just adding to it so im the bad guy. even though they started it off by calling me a fucking asshole/douche bag out of no where.

This is the part you don't seem to get. If you had done nothing, and they had all reported you, NOTHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO YOU. Nothing. You would have been fine. But you retaliated and were toxic and thus punished (worth noting, you have to have been toxic in more than one game (or really really toxic) to be punished.)

This is incorrect. We do not punish players simply because they received a report or reports against their account. The only time you would be punished from a report is if you were displaying negative behavior in your games. Which you had done on an excessive level in your game.

When you mention another Arbiter, I presume you are referring to our discussion on your previous thread in Miscellaneous?

I completely agree with you that telling someone to kill him/her self is completely unacceptable, but someone else being more egregiously negative than you does not excuse the behavior displayed in this chat log.

While you may believe you were permanently banned for nothing aside from a premade reporting you and for only one word, your chatlog shows differently. This is not a first time offense, your excessive negative attitude, verbal abuse and harassment you were punished for is the exact same behavior that resulted in your previous two week suspension.

In your thread on Miscellaneous, you specifically mentioned that you had no previous punishments on your record for this account. If you had a temporary suspension before this permanent ban, the system went through the steps exactly as it does for everyone else and ultimately arrived on a permanent ban due to demonstrated lack of reform.

This is not how it works. Anecdotal, of course, but I type constantly when I play; my chat logs probably look like novels to anyone that might happen to read them.

I have never been punished or even warned despite my consistently ridiculous chatter in-game, so I can pretty safely say that typing lots of innocuous comments does not prompt anything to happen in regards to the reporting system.
