Extreme punishment for those who leave ranked games.

Hello, summoners! I play on the EUNE server and I just missed my third consecutive prmo to GV because of those who leave the game (after remake is possible). All of them beacause in AT LEAST one game, a summoner left. I admit I am angry and so annoyed, but these kind of players deserve worst punishments. It is not fair to lose a hard worked PROMOTION because of one... (call him/her what you want). SEVERE punishments must be taken, starting from 3 months of ban at least, so they learn their lesson. If it repeats, to 6 months and so on. Something has to be done.

People are missing the point saying life has priority. Dont be playing ranked games if you have distractions

Anyone can make any excuses they want. The bottom line is that this is a community and if your action has a negative impact over other 4 people, you need to be punished in some way. It's a responsability you take on when you decide to press "find match". As I said, anyone can make any excuses they want, some pertinent, but in the end if your action, madde on purpose or not, had a negative influence for other people, you need penalization.

Taking care of a sick family member > Game.

Dog is gagging and/or needs to be let out > Game.

Neighbors house is on fire > Game.

There's a LOT more things that are more important than a game of League. Though there are times when you should know that a game of League is not an option at the time. If you have a baby, and they constantly need your attention for whatever reason, don't play League. If they can be left alone, such as they're sleeping and you know you can get at least one game in before they cry, then go ahead.

But don't constantly use your baby as a way to ruin others games. While a baby or any child for that matter is more important than a game, ruining the game for countless others because the baby/child is constantly crying is not.

SO, to make it clear. Everybody has personal priorities, therefore, if you start something, like a ranked League of Legends game, for example, do it when YOU KNOW FOR SURE YOU ARE ALSO GONNA FINISH IT. Simple! I wanna play League, but my aunt from 10000 miles away told me she might come today for a visit, find another time to start it; you haven't gone for a walk with your pet in 6 hours, then guess what, go for a walk with him before you play; you have a baby, don't PLAY an online game which you can't pause and needs your full attention. It is very simple and those who fail to understand and menage their time need to get penalization.

Sorry but in world of online gaming, leaving or afking can not have "extreme" punishments. As its natural and RL should always come before League. Its just a game.

I agree, but still not totally. Why in a row only? even 3 a week or two can be enough to ruin summoners' games, promos in the worst ways. I think, in the end, League goes too easy on the leavers. Otherwise it would happen rarer than it does now.

Just put ranked leavers into low priority queue for 1-3 games on first infraction. That's a pretty strong incentive to stay

Sorry to say this but nothing happens to leavers or afkers. Riot doesn't punish them.

I don't really see how its different from losing promos due to feeders though. I had a promo game a few days ago where my bot and mid combined for a 0/20/1 score. That would have cost me the game just as much as someone leaving, so why would this same standard not apply to feeders?

I think maybe we could do with a bit harsher punishments for rage-quitting (Nowhere near 3 months though), but a random DC/irl emergency?

I know it's frustrating to have an AFK on your team, and even more so 3 games in a row. IDK why the people in your games left, but if it was because of random and unpredictable issues its justified as these don't happen as often.

I know your pain!

I think there should be an escalating punishment for those who are frequent leavers not only in terms of getting busted with leavebuster but also having higher LP loss than for those who have only left once in a while.

Because it's difficult to figure out whether or not it was a disconnect due to technical difficulties or an afk/leaver, I'd give them a chance or two within a time frame and then if they exceed that, they start to increase their LP loss instead of the standard loss for a defeat in ranked.

This would mean everyone would have to understand that if you're having technical problems like ISP stability, don't play more games that day.

I once confronted a serial leaver about this, and he told me that 'his baby was more important than some dumb game' and went on to tell me that his baby was crying and needed to be fed, and that the baby was more important than my dumb game.

So I learned a valuable lesson that day, I 'm not sure what that lesson was but people have babies they are looking after while playing league and that if the baby needs something that it is more important than them throwing the match and completely ruining the experience for nine other people.
