League's Victim Blaming

Recently I've noticed a disturbing trend in the league of legends community. Many people have the unfathomable tendency of victim blaming people who dare to open their mouths in complaint of poor treatment they receive. I'm sure that you've all seen someone ranting about how some team member called them names or was an over all wretch. I'm equally sure that you've been the witness to at least one comment where this person is told that what they experienced was somewhat, or entirely, their fault. Or that they just can't handle the truth or some other drivel. This method of schlepping the responsibility from the aggressor to the aggressed is deplorable and childish. Everyone has bad games and makes bad calls. This does not mean that the deserve to be harassed or berated. There is nothing that warrants verbal abuse. Plain and simple. I find it pathetic and interesting that a community built around a game that is, itself, built around teamwork, has such a lack of understanding and desire for positive communication. If you are in a game and one of your teammates make a poor choice or a rooky mistake, it's completely acceptable to correct them. But for god's sake, don't be needlessly mean about it. If you lose your cool and begin to harass people, or you think that you're entitled enough to throw a temper tantrum like a small child, that is your problem and your issue to deal with. It is not your teammate's responsibility to babysit and placate you. You cannot hold onto the expectation that everyone will present you with a spotless performance. That idea is naïve and unrealistic. And if someone decides to vent about the way that they were treated, there is nothing more asinine than telling them that they're probably just that bad, they can't take an insult, or that they just need to get over it because that is exactly what the gaping source of toxicity that they are speaking of needed to do. Get over it, and realize that people have different levels of skill and understanding of the game. The bottom like is that not a single player of this game deserves to be mistreated or experience a negative social experience in any shape or form. And It's high time that we all learn that.

"Don't insult anyone, but let me insult whoever insulted me". Kinda contradictory, no?

This post is just another example of why people who can't handle criticism shouldn't play ranked. People get so hurt when you tell them to not do dumb things or that what they did was idiotic. In all honesty, I've said this 100 times, toxic should not even be reportable because this mute button exists if you don't like the way someone is talking, just mute them.

Toxicity is very curable, the number of ppl intentionally losing games is not.
