Tired of culture

Most of you probably don't care but I'm really tired of the culture in this community. The people in bronze are so toxic and when you don't have friends in the same time zone that play, you end up random queuing all the time. I'm not great, but I'm not terrible either. I have great games and lose and I don't sit here and say "report so-and-so because they had a bad game". As an example, I just played a game as Wu and went 23-2-20 and we lost. Obviously, I know its not all about kills, its also about objectives and team work. But unfortunately, I got stuck with some people who really didn't know how to work together. After playing 5 games in a row as mid or top and having a positive k:d every game, I finally have one bad game. I am using Aurelion Sol as mid lane and someone countered me with an Anivia pick. Since the champ is so new, I could not figure out a way to defeat her quickly enough as her stun was brutal and by the end of the game I was 0-5 (the first time I have been goose egged in as long as I can remember). Next thing I know, my jungle was a Xin who at this point was 2-7 and telling in all chat, "gg" and "report sol". He proceeded to insult me and be toxic the rest of the match. The guy who ended up 4-9 (9 deaths feeds opponents a lot more gold than 5 does) was calling me names and blaming me for the loss.

I am 2 seconds from stopping playing this game altogether simply because I can't stand the toxic community and players. Maybe its only bronze, I don't know, but I can never get out of bronze because I get stuck with these people constantly that troll or just bring a toxic attitude to the game. Reporting them does nothing. Trying to be positive and keep people focused does nothing. I have only gotten notification about a single player being banned based on a report I've submitted and it was really egregious (e.g. we were winning and then he began to intentionally feed and then afk'd the last 5 minutes of the game standing at our nexus dancing and taunting us while we lose because of him).

Why is this behavior allowed and why does Riot do nothing to stop it? An otherwise great game is not fun because of it.

I honestly don't get it. Mobas in general just have the worst communities, or I think it is because you're stuck in a game with a toxic player for much longer than any other game type so it is more wearing on a person. Honestly, mute button helps a ton. And when you find fun players who don't get salty, add them, you dont have to know them IRL to play games together.

It has nothing to do with culture. Not entire NA is toxic (...I hope?). Just that league player base in NA is toxic and trolly.

This behavior isn't allowed. Riot gives us a hand to stop it but they're too lenient in that aspect, and while they're giving us a hand it is ultimately up to us to behave, since riot can't brainwash players or restrain their bodies when they attempt to misbehave.

Amen. Save yourself the time and frustration and don't read the rest of the comments. It's absurd how awful people are in low level ranked because they know it's a RIGHT and not a PRIVILEGE to be there. When you allow anyone to play in a ranked competition regardless of how they do then the bottom of the barrel sits the worst scum of the universe and I'm talking GWAR wouldn't touch that shit. And a casual player like me and you that dominates normals and really just wants to play a game or two in ranked gets stuck (forced) to play with these people who ruin any fun we could possibly have.
