Honor and reports

I'm simply curious if only receiving a report lowers your honor, or if someone is simply being salty and reports you for no reason other than they can or are just toxic if that makes you take a hit. Also curious if others have encountered individuals that report for unfounded reasons or simply because someone is having a bad game and/or those defending the person having a bad game have been reported. Or if saying they're going to report is just an empty threat and if you feel that reporting that player for toxicity is frowned upon.

Valid reports slow down your honor growth. False reports do nothing.

Them saying that they'll report you is a reportable offense.

I'm not familiar enough with the new honor system to know exactly how it works, but I'd like to think that I know the behavior systems fairly well. Generally speaking, if someone reports you when you truly weren't doing anything wrong, the report does absolutely nothing. Playing poorly on its own is not reportable. All the report does is flag the game for review, and if there's nothing noteworthy, your standing is left alone. Honor definitely shouldn't be affected in this case.

So if they say they're going to report you (or asking for reports, which is literally a waste of effort), let them. You shouldn't have to worry about it. Of course, you can report them for harassment if you'd like, just don't announce it.

I would like to thank the both of you for your feedback. I just can't stand it when people are begging for reports because someone is not doing well regardless if they are an ally or not or just because you feel high and mighty trying to knock someone down who's worked hard and is trying to do their best given a bad matchup or situation.
