LeaverBuster is broken

Riots leaver buster system is broken and needs to be updated or thrown out altogether to make room for a better system.

1. Everything I've read that Riot has posted on leaver buster tells me that the reason they punish you so harshly(5-20 min low priority q's) is that by you leaving you are punishing the other 9 players. While this is true but only if you leave in the middle of the game. A lot of the times if you have a technical issue or leaving is out of your control you will be gone from the start of your game allowing the others to remake. So you are not really punishing the other 9 players. There are times like if you bug splat or just cant connect because of a software issue that prevents you from entering a game but this dost matter leaver buster treats you with the same hostility weather or not your team remade or not.

2. Following that, you are also punished for something that is not your fault. If there is a circumstance where you just can't connect because of a soft ware issue (ie bug splat) then you are punished just as much as the dude you intentionally left. Having the game put you into low priority q's because of a soft ware issue is one of the worst feelings. This also can happen in as little as 1 game. This is discouraging because when it happens you feel like there was nothing you could do and now there is nothing you can do because Riot will not under any circumstance relive a low portion q.

3. The system is unforgiving. When I started playing this game I left every once in a while because I was dumb. But in the past year or two I have not left any game I had control over. Recently I was gifted with a bug splat that would' t let me enter a game. This is the first time in a long while this has happened yet I still got a 20min low priority q. My teammates remade (i had a friend in the game.) so they didn't suffer this took like 10 mins max out of their day but this low priority q will take me 100 mins to overcome. This system doesn't encourage you to do better but instead, treats every case with harsh judgment and judges you on your failures instead of realizing that you have been doing better.

4. Every system like this should encourage better decision making and strive to make the league community better. This system fails on both standards. As mentioned in point 3 this system treats you as a sum of your failures failing to realize any progress you have made. All that it sees you as is how many leaves you have total. They do see how many this season or this month or this year. This is not charging us to make better decisions because with this system it does not matter I could have 0 leaves in 10 years but if it forced out of a game once I'm treated as if that progress doesn't matter. This also fails to make league better. A player like me who never intentionally leaves shouldn't have to be afraid of this kind of stuff. But in this system I am. Every game for the next couple of months I will be afraid that Riots game will malfuntion so Riots system will punish me.

In conclusion, the leaver buster system is an outdated system that doesn't take into account remakes, it punishes the innocent, never forgives and fails it's very purpose to help us make better decisions and make the league community better as a result.
