Meaning of Toxic: League Community

So I was playing a game as DJ Sona and a Yasuo that was level 13 when we were level 8 ganked us and dived and killed us both. I then looked at the scoreboard and saw a 0/8 Fiddlesticks. I pointed it out in chat and no one said anything, so then when someone was bragging about Yasuo saying "Yasuo god" I responded with "Fiddlesticks moron". Then I immediately got told to fuck off and one of them told me to kill myself and then accused me of being toxic. At the end of the game they continued to harass me about that one comment and I didn't know what to do. Is there an engine or anything against group reporting? Because that was an unfair report. When the game ended I talked to one of the people by the name of Lady Doge Lama and said that toxic in the definition I have used it is when you repeatedly say hurtful things. I said one thing and she told me to kill myself and then accused me of being toxic. She then responded with "Everyone is entitled to their own opinions". Toxic isn't opinionated, and reporting isn't opinionated. If you are reporting someone over iffy grounds you shouldn't do it. Am I wrong? Is it just me? Please let me know.

For one thing, them reporting you as a group still counts as one flag and gets reviewed as such. So, I wouldn't worry about being a victim of a group ganging up on you to report.

I do think you lit the fire when you said "moron" b/c despite how horrible someone's score is, calling names and blaming will just lead to yourself getting into trouble. Still, I don't think calling someone that is ban-worthy on just a single incident.

If you reported them and they were the ones being toxic and pretty much idiotic, they will get banned; people w/ that kind of behavior will repeat it game after game and w/ reports accumulating against them, will get slapped by penalties. There is no doubt about it.

You should be careful about not abusing the report button b/c when (not if) your reports are found to be abusive in that there was no offense, your reports start to weigh less and less. Toxicity has been defined by Rioters many times here in this section and they have been pretty clear about what is and isn't toxic. There are many cases here of people getting smited as well as those asking where/how they went wrong. Don't worry if someone acts like the most toxic human being ever in your game then says it is just your opinion that I was toxic, report them and rest assured they will get what they deserve.

GL!

Welcome to Rito's system where there's no penalty for mashing the report button as many times as you like. Context is completely irrelevant here, nothing anyone else has said or done is considered relevant to what you typed. If you say something that another player finds even remotely offensive or even just disagrees with you can probably expect to be reported. Then the automated system with go thru all text you input and if it finds just about any word with a possibly negative meaning you're gonna get punished. This includes all the standard foul language and hate speech variations, but also includes words like 'feed', 'report', 'bad', 'throws', 'bg', etc. So basically the only way to ensure you're not reportable for a chat offense is to never type anything into chat at all.
