So i have bought probably 2 skins for each champ. I own every champ on my profile. I recently "3 days ago", got my profile back because i was reported for "being toxic", altho i wasn't. it was simply a 3 man group in my 5v5 ranked match that reported me. The exact same thing literally just happened, and i was even the guy being toxic. The jungle was talking crap at first, then 2 other players "bottom", started raging on me because the jungle was. then they all 3 reported me because this toxic jungle asked them to...now my account is permanently banned and all my skins are gone...Over 3-400 dollars worth of skins, gone. I absolutely love league of legends, but you guys gotta seriously rethink your punishment system.

And why even have a chat filter, if people are going to get banned for using words like Shit, bitch, fuck, hell, noob. That is the entire point of chat filter is to block the bad words.

But it doesn't matter at this point, now i have lost my account i have spent the last 3 years on. I will no longer play this game, the punishment system is just ridiculous...permanently banned....seriously???? just wow is all i can say with out being rude.

If you'd like to discuss the validity of your punishment with the community I'd suggest posting your reform card (the email may have just one game, but the in-client card could have up to 3).

If you want to contest your ban with Riot you need to submit a Support Ticket.

Its honestly not worth it. Ill just get banned again for saying something like "stop trolling", or "Fuk stop feeding them", Yea differently not worth all the drama. Just a shame ill lose all my skins i bought and paid for, as well as all the champs in the game i bought.

We have a chat filter so people can choice not to see curse words. We don't have it so anyone can cuss all they want for whatever reason.

You were in the military, they teach you discipline right? Use it please. Besides you don't get punished for Fucking using a curse word in and of itself. You get punished for throwing them at people as an insult.

First things first, Yes they teach us discipline in the military. But no, they do not in anyway limit how we speak. In fact there is normally at least one curse word in every sentence we speak/type, again, we are not children, we are adults.

Secondly, A word filter/chat filter (sometimes referred to as just "filter" or "censor") is a script typically used on Internet forums or chat rooms that automatically scans users' posts or comments as they are submitted and automatically changes or censors particular words or phrases. So again, no reason one should get in any kind of trouble over speaking a curse word or any kind. Other wise your chat filter is completely useless and defeats the purpose of even having the option to enable/disable it.

Thirdly, I have already posted all 3 game chats. But if you for some odd reason do not want to click on the post...ill repost them in the comments.

And lastly before i leave....You claim that i will not or have not been punished by cursing, as you said in the above comment " Besides you don't get punished for Fucking using a curse word in and of itself. You get punished for throwing them at people as an insult.", But yet everytime i have been Chat restricted, banned, and perma banned, It shows a chat where i have said "your dumb", "Troll", "Noob", "shit i died", "fuk i died again", and in rare cases "dumbass", which in every single case, has been provoked responses from toxic players.

Yea...so follow the rules or get permanently banned. Real smart move there. really good way to lose dedicated players who have been playing since they released the game. Most of it im cool with, but banning a person because they say a few curse words even tho the game has a chat filter, is just laughable. This game use to be amazing, then they added all this bull crap limitations. Just gonna ruin it for most players. but its w/e, plenty of other games such as WoW that will not complain or ban you just for speaking like an adult

The rules have not changed. The enforcement and punishments have.

A chat filter is not an excuse. It's a band-aid fix to help those that otherwise have to put up with unnecessary language. It certainly doesn't cover up the attitude behind it, though, so if you excessively curse there's little choice but to punish you for the betterment of the remaining playerbase.

Speaking like an adult should mean that you're acting with a bit of maturity. Show a little dignity and at least use a more elegant vocabulary to express yourself.

Not toxic, toxic is like saying "gg" 5mins into the game. Or calling people noob and troll because they only die once or twice at the start of the match. If you could see the entire chat, and not only what i said. then you might understand the words i said. The "stfu" comes when he keeps saying gg over and over threw out the match. The "you shouldnt be there" is when he blames me, because he dies in there jg alone. The "go die some more", is my reply to him calling me a noob for not helping him in there jg where he was alone multiple times. At that point he was about 0-10-0. And he was our jg, with no assits meaning he wasnt helping anyone, and feeding the other team in a ranked match.....Then "so noob its sad", is my reply to him insulting me because of my previous comment about him feeding them in ranked.

Actually YES, there are standards for conduct in the military. You're not banned for your cussing (or I'd be banned too, and I was a fucking sailor, lmao, and you know our cussing reputation is fairly legendary). You were essentially sent to LoL Captain's Mast for your conduct. You violated Riot's UCMJ which you agreed to every patch. You messed up, sailor. Or soldier. Or whichever. Now FESS up and WISE up! You went through HOW many tiers of correction? and you STILL can't get a clue?

You seem to have a problem with "follow the rules or get banned." How the F*** did you get through the military? It's packed with rules and you damned well better follow them.... do I need to remind you what things could happen THERE if you didn't?

And yes if you actually paid the fuck attention, you could clearly tell from the chats i posted already, that i was actually banned for curseing, which is the entire point of the post dumbass. If you'd like to post your chat logs, we can help explain what could have led to your ban. Profanity alone isn't enough to warrant a punishment, but directing profanity towards people is considered verbal abuse and isn't tolerated.

Well apparently it is. Because the last ban was for "Profanity", which was me saying damn, or fuck 2 or 3 times in a 40min game. This is the exact same thing that happened. And i was reported by the toxic player, and his friends at the end of the match. Now i lost my account for good.

Again, read what i said. I in no way said i was being toxic. If you actually read what i said, i said there was a toxic player "the jungle", and he was bad mouthing threw out the entire match, then when i tried to explain that he was the one who kept dieing over and over feeding the opposite team in ranked, then the bottom lane joined in on it, and all 3 of them started cusing at me, then they all reported me for being toxic, when in fact it wasn't me at all...

To get banned for such a reason is seriously ridiculous....If cusing bothers kids so badly, just block the cuse words for them in chat so when another person cuses it appears as #$**@ etc etc...Its just i started playing league of legends after i returned from Afghanistan, mainly because i am a huge gamer and i love the pvp action as well as the graphics, servers, skins, and communication. But after losing my account due to speaking "improperly"....ill probably never return honestly. Ill just go back to WoW or DCuniverse online...Differently demoralizing to be forced to stop playing you #1 game you have been playing your entire military career. Very disappointed...

Here is one of the games that got me banned. Which is you could see what the other player was saying you would understand. I was a support soraka in this game, not a tank. Every time we would try to team fight, our Jungle would liturally run away leaving us to die over and over. Which i continuously asked to stop running away. Which he completely ignored and continued threw out the match, while cursing at me for blaming him for running away.

Consider the difference between the following to statements:

You say your military, I don't dispute this.

In the military you would never disrespect a superior officer, so think of this game as everyone is equal as they are, and Riot is your officer and just follow the rules like the vast majority do.

The reason you got a permaban is because you had already received at least 35-games worth of chat restrictions and a 2-week ban. Because you chose to continue behaving poorly you received the next punishment in line, which in this case was a permanent ban. Punishments are on a 4-strike system of sorts:

Strike one: 10-game chat restriction. Strike two: 25-game chat restriction. Strike three: 2-week ban. Strike four: permanent ban.

By behaving properly it is possible to actually drop down a punishment tier and receive a lesser punishment should you act up again, but in order to do this you have to show and prove that you are in fact putting forth the actual effort and willingness to reform and change your behavior for the better (approx. 3 months time).

As for your other complaints paying customers don't get leniency from the rules just because they pay more for the game than others do-they're treated exactly the same as everybody else. Also, just because there's a chat filter doesn't mean that you can use that as an excuse to behave like a jerk to other people, and if you force someone to mute you then you've most likely already done something wrong. From the Tribunal FAQ:

Do paying players get leniency? Paying customers are treated exactly the same as non-paying customers by the Tribunal.

That player in my game was far worse than me. Why am I banned??? I'll keep this one simple: those other players in your game that you thought were worse are probably also banned. Nearly 100% of the time, those players were banned even before you were. If someone is being toxic, just report them and move on.

We strongly believe that it is not OK to retaliate. If a player refuses to cooperate and says something negative, then players should ignore the player and report them after the game. Players can ignore or mute players by pressing the “Mute” button on the Scoreboard [when you hit TAB] in the game.

If a player retaliates and says something bad back, then the two of you have made a negative experience for potentially the other 8 players in the game. Rarely do teams start working together better when players begin fighting back—great games only happen when players cooperate and don’t make the issues even worse by fighting back and forth.

We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.

Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter? Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.

If you can't or won't interact with others in a neutral or positive manner then multiplayer online games are not for you.

First off i play many online games with absolutely no problems at all for over 10 years straight. League of Legends is the only one out of over 8 separate online pvp games to include rpg, mmo, mmorpg, etc etc....to have

And i did get tons and tons of chat restrictions and warnings, but they were all for cursing.

Honestly its embarrassing to not only see you banning ANYONES profile permanently for any reason other than cheating, but refuse to give them what they have legally purchased from there game. Unbelievable.

And i never expected to be judged differently because i pay for anything, i only stated that i had skins, wards, and champs that i bought on your game that i am now, not allowed to use even tho they are mine. Which is seriously fucked up. If anything you should allow the player to transfer his purchases to another profile, or simply restart is profile at level one. Not just ban his profile to were he can never again have or use is purchased items.

Yes but League of Legends is not like your other online games. Riot actually enforces their rules, punishes the players who refuse to follow them and rewards the players that do.

The chat filter is not a "say anything you want without consequence" filter. The Chat Restrictions are there to get players to focus more on the game and less on the chat.

I think that it's good that they do. Times have changed, and believe it or not no one enjoys being yelled at or insulted by someone who is mad that things are not going their way.

Riot does not do that. People choose to come forward with your ban on a public forum, meaning that they willingly opened themselves up to feedback from everyone here, both good and bad. Generally when Riot responds to threads here, it's to tell the whole story (i.e. what really happened) when the OP tries to hide key details about their case from everyone. They also sometimes post chat logs as well, though generally it's usually only when the OP requests that they do so.

From what I've seen the ones doing the insulting are the ones complaining about their bans because they would rather insult everyone and anyone who isn't a Yesman instead of owning up to their own poor behavior displayed both in-game and on the forums as well also.

They were for cursing at others, not just for cursing in general. Riot doesn't care if you cuss, they just don't want you cussing at other people. If you knew what the warnings were for then you should have stopped cussing at other people but you chose not to do so, hence the permanent ban.

It's really not. Players are expected to behave themselves and act in a neutral or positive manner when interacting with others online. If they'd rather cause trouble and try to insult and be a jerk to as many people as possible then they don't deserve to be playing this game. If you're unwilling to be respectful when interacting with others then don't play multiplayer online games.

Also, Riot did give you what you legally purchased in the game. You bought skins and RP and they gave them to your account. They took your account away because you willingly misused it over and over again and refused to stop doing so. They have every right to do that since this is their house and therefore their rules.

Technically they're not yours, they're Riots. We technically don't own our accounts, but rather we rent them out instead. If you refuse to follow the rules then Riot revokes access to your account. It's like renting an apartment: you're given a list of rules and guidelines to follow, and if you constantly break them and show no interest in following the rules then the landlord kicks you out. Both have every right to do that if you show no interest in following the rules and behaving properly.

Also, it's called a permanent ban for a reason-it's permanent. Allowing permabanned players the ability to transfer their items onto a new account defeats the purpose of a permanent ban. Think of it like a parent taking away your toys for misbehaving. You don't deserve to have your toys if you don't want to follow the rules. Does it stink? Yes it does. Did you deserve it? Yes you did.

Truly, I know it sucks. I always am of 2 minds, one that doesn't take well to anyone rude, and the other that understands how friggin hard it is. I've never said this on the boards!
