Autolocking is reportable?
So I just queued up for a beginner bot match, load in and I call bot and autolock Bard. I was then told I was going to be reported for autolocking, is that reportable or was the guy lying? Thank you all

Bard ADC ftw
No its not.
No. Not surprised they said that though. Wouldn't be league if someone every game is trying to get under your skin some how some way.
Instantly locking in a champion in Blind, and now in Dynamic has never and until Riot puts their foot down, will never be reportable.
The " get what you called for" unwritten rule, which isn't a rule and is a guideline perpetuated by new players because they don't have the champion pool to replace and cover roles left open, is not Riot-Supported.
So autolocking isn't punishable, it's frowned upon.
Also, if they threaten you with reports, listen to PlatypusSurprize on this one:
Autolocking is not reportable but threatening to report someone is reportable as it falls under harassment.
Also when you report someone riot gets sent chat logs from champ select, in game, and end game lobby for that game.
Thank you all. I was just checking, I appreciate the responses.
no
You've got to be somewhat flexible. In a bot match, especially beginner, you could just easily take Bard mid or top or hell even try him jungle. Nobody is going to care.
When you autolock in normals, you do so with the understanding you may not get the lane you want. You get to autolock the champion, not the role. If you autolock Sona for instance, you might not always be supporting. If you autolock Master Yi, you might have to go mid or top lane. It's a risk you take, and complaining about it is... well, if you can't really expect everyone to accommodate for you if you weren't willing to communicate upfront in the first place :/
Also, I don't recommend it from a strategic point of view. You want to pick your champion around what the team needs, rather than force them to pick a team based on you. Unless you're Faker, I guess.
Nope.
It's not typically reportable, but it's a dick move. Even in Bots.
Champion select in Blind Pick is meant to allow people time to figure out their roles and champs. Not everybody can play every role, and some flexibility is handy. Plus, sometimes people load in in a staggered fashion, and you may have accidentally (or purposely) ignored somebody out-calling you for the role.
There's no real benefit to locking in other than to make the game begin faster. The polite and effective way to do this is to simply not lock until all lanes are called.
