LOSS OF RANKS POINTS DUE TO AFK PEOPLE

Ok i recently sent in a ticket to riot games and they told me to come to the boards. When i read on the boards i only see the players responding and not the actual RIOT gaming employees. I would like to know the answer to this simple question. If I am playing a ranked game and a person on my team never connects to the game at all the entire game. and we lose why do i lose my rank points. that seems a bit unfair. I don't mind the loss because i played the entire game or left at the 20 minute mark. But i don't think we should go down in rank and lose our rank points because some team member never connected either because the new patch is messing with their game or cause their computer is messing up. I just wanna know what can be done or what is being done in the rule book to fix the issue and stuff. IF anything at all. Any answer would be helpful. thanks

Try getting matched up with someone who has 170 wins TOTAL and half of those are on aram. That is great matchmaking when you are in your series. A great ADC for our team...

yeah I just got put into a game where the mid laner didn't connect, then about 12 mins in the top laner dc'd so there was a point of about 5 mins where we were playing 3v5, and by the time the top laner reconnected we were in to our nexus turrets. This needs to be fixed, losing lp and mmr for this is just unfair!

And the top wouldn't bother me if it was a few mins and she was the only afk, but we alredy had one, so it was just a completely uneven and unfair game!

The whole argument that is posted on this subject is the fact that as a summoner following the code will experience this 20% less than his/her opponents will. Since you show up and play the full game, you have a smaller chance of this happening to you than the opposing team. I would suggest grouping up with players that you know are not toxic.

MMR uses the elo system and has to be zero sum. If they refunded your MMR they would have to take away the winning teams MMR which also means they don't get a win because you guys AFK'd. In theroy they could refund LP, but your rank will eventually catch up to your MMR so that doesn't matter. This would also be easy to exploit for boosting as a booster could viod all losses by afking when behind.

I just don't find it fair that if lets say they have a brand new patch right now OK. When you log into league and go to ranked and play your game the patch messes with the server and it kicks you from the game or kicks you from even loading onto the server. So you lose points because riots coding on a patch kicks you. that seems a bit messed up to me.
