Toxic Players on the Rift

So I just started getting back into league a few days ago. I've been enjoying it more than I used to, and I think that is mostly because i haven't been getting very many toxic players in my games. Today however, I got matched with one of the most toxic players I've ever been matched with. I finished the game and reported him and figured I'd just go ahead and play another game so I didn't end on a negative note. I got paired with the same person again and it was the exact same miserable experience. It's just weird to me that when you report somebody it doesn't add the account to an ignore list or something similar. I just reported this player for ruining the game for me, why would I ever want to play with him again?

It's too abusable at high elo, that's why. You could just mute/ignore every player that's better than you. Queue times would be stupid, games would be unbalanced, etc etc.

Here's an extremely simple and obvious solution but of course Riot couldn't muster up the brains to think of this. At a certain elo cap blocking players doesn't stop you from playing with them but Diamond 3 and lower you should be able to block someone and NEVER have to play with them again. This is effective because at D3+ a majority of the players value their account and will not troll as much. OP you should never have to deal with that. Riot is extremely ineffective in what they do. Don't expect any better from them

It would still be nice to avoid that player for at least a day. Doesn't have to be permanent.

The only option i see is to carry games and raise your elo so your not in the same games. But most people probably cant do thatitem 3070

I know I have a history of being toxic in game chat, but with that being said, I do not think it is fair to throw away all the time, money and effort I have put into this game and company. I've been playing since season 3, and have loved LoL. I've told many friends, gotten them into it, and now because I've had some bad games, in which some were triggered by teammates flaming me, you guys permanently suspend me? This is heartbreaking. I have spent hundreds of dollars in the game store and would appreciate it very much if we could work something out here, there has to be something I can do to get my account back. Please Riot, I'm begging, don't do this to me!
