the line

Where is the line between toxicity and freedom of speech? Quite frankly, some people use more colorful language however it isn't aimed at other people. But it is THOSE people who get punished because of trigger words. However someone could insult and aggravate people using a more sophisticated word set and be generally applauded for it. How is it exactly fair when defending one self against atrocious people do we in turn get punished? My Surprises account was perm banned because I said I had a hemorrhoid. As the game continued I was farming a lane and they all called me names and afterwards I got banned. Just like that ; after nothing horrible said.

Now I was called boosted ; stupid ; autistic ; retarded ; brain dead. I get chat restricted for 10 games.(on this account)

What exactly is the line ???

I tried to appeal to my ban on surprises all I got was passive aggressive "mod" who dismissed me as though I wasn't even human. After spending my money buying things ONLY then do I get banned? for saying hemorrhoid????

In the same chat log I'm abused and called names and nothing happens to anyone else?

What kind of justice system is this, where you get no warning and boom a perm ban?

(I said f - - s when no one said gj lol)

that was the only game (was banned promptly afterwards)

Yeah sorry but Freedom of Speech doesn't apply here. From Ulanopo's Knowledge Base:

Freedom of Speech!!!!!”

Doesn’t apply. No really. If we’re talking about American law, the First Amendment only applies to the government making laws that prohibit speech and, even then, freedom of speech isn’t absolute. For example, you can’t incite a riot, plan to kill the president or yell fire in a crowded theater.

Also, there’s nothing in the First Amendment that protects you from the consequences of your speech. People are fired all the time for making derogatory comments about their employer. My workplace, for example, has a social media policy that says that I can be terminated for badmouthing the company. They don’t ask for passwords and access as some companies have been known to do, but it wouldn’t be all that difficult to find me on the internet, knowing my real name, phone number and address.

Also, post the entire unedited Reform Card here if you're looking for an actual accurate review of your case.

You must have done/said other things in the past that got you reported. They wouldn't just perma ban you "all of a sudden". Also, calling people f*gs is very offensive.

Why does this guy seem to think they didn't deserve it?

Where is the line between toxicity and freedom of speech?

Um, you need to read up on what freedom of speech pertains to, if you are going to ask that kind of question. Here is a hint, does not apply to privately owned web sites.

You got banned for calling people "f_gs", nothing else.

Manwalrus10/17/2016, 4:12:20 PM1 votes

in order to get permabanned you need to have been punished for toxicity multiple times before

As long as the colourful language is not directed at someone, it is usually fine (racism, homophobia etc. is never OK). You must have done something else, because this does not constitute a ban at all. If you cursed to "defend" yourself, you are doing it wrong. You are creating more toxic behaviour and becoming a part of the problem, rather than the solution.

Here is an image taken from the guide "Reporting a Player", which can be found here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752884-Reporting-a-Player http://i.imgur.com/PuXRxRh.jpg He is using colourful language as a description of an event, not to insult or ridicule. It is listed as OK behaviour.

Why are you re posting this?

I support you. You should not have been banned. I like league of legends, but not League of wuss and crybabies

You never get permabanned with no previous punishment unless you are hacking.
