You might have said "k sure bud" in a way that agreed with your teammate, but someone else could have considered it as sarcastic and rude. Avoiding these situations by muting the in game chat could be a great way to not be tempted in to that kind of situation.

Polar stepping in for Iron Wing.

I know this might not have been the answer you were looking for but any negative behavior is considered to be detrimental to the game and your teammates. Something that you consider to be normal behavior could be taken as extremely rude or offensive by other players trying to enjoy themselves with a game of League.

It looks like Iron Wing was able to give you specific examples of the negative behavior I am talking about. You might have said "k sure bud" in a way that agreed with your teammate, but someone else could have considered it as sarcastic and rude. Avoiding these situations by muting the in game chat could be a great way to not be tempted in to that kind of situation.

Well, the entire, unedited reform card would be a good place to start, but the snippet you've given does indeed give enough proof that you were being sarcastic and rude.

Sarcasm isn't directly punishable, but rudeness is.

It looks like it was pretty tilting to play with them, and I'm sorry you ran into that while trying to play. If any of them were reported, they may have been penalized without you knowing, but I will also do a manual review here. Going forward, I want to help you avoid any future penalties, so let's talk about this. nah bud i was being punished for saying bud to a toxicity player

but trust me i used to think the same thing ppl made this up cause they got reported

Nah you can both be wrong you are right but it didn't start with me being toxic in any of those Also by you saying that i should always let a toxic person control my game cause as I've seen even if you mute a toxic player it doesn't stop there so..... your statement is both true and kiddish at the same time cause I've had games where I've had to mute my whole team cause a toxic player cause they can spread =O but hey when there's only toxic ppl left be happy cause all you have to do is say sure bud now and they can report you :D

sure it doesn't so next time you say something like sure bud to a toxic player ban ur self also you just repeated your self but didn't answer my part ill repost for you . your statement is both true and kiddish at the same time cause I've had games where I've had to mute my whole team cause a toxic player cause they can spread =O but hey when there's only toxic ppl left be happy cause all you have to do is say sure bud now and they can report you :D but yes plz do say it fine to report you can be banned for that and i've never didn't play a game out but you can lose morale and by what your saying LOL is made for Toxic ppl it seems cause they get away with it or take you with them you say sure bud : D

sometimes you have to mute everyone? ok sure, yeah sometimes you do

if all you said was "sure bud" you would be fine and no amount of reports would punish you, false and invalid reports do nothing

Engaging the negativity in this way isn't necessary, and this restriction is trying to get you to mute more, ping more, and chat less in this way. Chat should not be for things like "k bud" "enjoy the report" or discussing blame, instead save those messages for coordinating with the team to win. If you feel like the team isn't willing to cooperate to win, you can also say nothing and focus on playing the game out.

Anything else I can do to keep your account from getting any harsher penalties let me know. I'm interested in keeping this account unbanned if you will work with us on changing things up.

I want to give you a general idea of what chat restrictions can be given for, and then show you examples from your log. A chat restriction is just a nudge to be more conservative with your chat, mute players instead of arguing, and focus on your own gameplay a bit more. Even if you are just responding to someone's negativity, you need to stop and evaluate if your chat is adding anything positive. You can earn a chat restriction if you're misusing chat to respond to a flamer or call out a troll, since in game chat is not the place to do that. If you're not sure, then the best response is to ignore them and not respond at all (mute them if needed), then report after the game.

These are examples of chat where things got heated, maybe some of this got said the wrong way, or didn't seem like a problem at the time when it was being typed out:

Dear Negi-sensei,

If you weren't just permanently suspended, I recommend that you become more like your namesake and start behaving like the British gentleman you are supposed to be. That way you can avoid permanent suspension and keep enjoying League.

If you follow this guideline, you will do fine; If a player annoys you somehow, mute him immediately, don't talk to him or about him, play as well as you can under the circumstanecs and try to win. Once the match has ended, consider if that was reportable and if it was silently report him in the post game lobby. Do not talk to him or about him at any point of the game, even post-game lobby.

Optionally you can try a single positive encouraging comment (and ensure it isn't passive aggressive!) and that might make him behave. If it doesn't, it is mute&ignore time.

Kids that think you should be banned for saying mean words in 2018, good luck future generations. The amount of pampering for thin skin fools online is pathetic. There's no good reason to ban a person for anything they say. Nothing will alter my mind of that. This is the main reason the first amendment is the greatest of them all. Because your freedom to speak and think as you wish is a human right that shouldn't be denied just because you can't handle a couple of mean words. It's extremely pathetic to see the people who think any form of perma ban can be justified with any form of chat logs. You're a pathetic individual to think words supercead someones investment into a game. Just because you have delicate feelings and little to no real life interactions to steel yourself, dosn't mean we should be punished for using a competitive game to divert the stress of a long day. There's no excuse to perma ban words. Even if they're "toxic" or "flammitory". if it's that big a deal, remove chatting in all chat all together, why is it there? You made a competitive game where people can talk to opposite teams. WoW didn't even do that. Shows how moronic most people who report on this game, and run the reporting of this game, are. I don't expect you to agree with me. If everyone just agreed with one another, innovation wouldn't exist. I don't think anything "said" should be ban worthy. That's my opinion. I think it takes a very delicate and fragile ego to require your online games be purely flame free and fit your pretty little idea on how the world and people in it "Should" act.

Riot went from having legitimate reasons to ban flamers though, to banning anyone who's slightly disagreeable whenever it strikes them. This is why I don't think they should be trusted with that choice anymore. I think they've abused it too much, I think they're forcing new players to deal with their shitty system, and in the long run, it will kill off any and all "newb" players who would have grinded to level 30, but all the alt "smurfs" of "reformed" players sure are doing so much less harm by being forced off their main account, instead of having their main account limited in Q's it's able to partake in.
