How about a Moderator Behavior Board? Perm ban yourselves Riot

Taeyang73·8/1/2017, 6:50:12 PM·4 votes·2,683 views

So my brother received a 7 day ban from these boards for simply posting a poll and opening a discussion regarding Riot perm banning themselves for their blatant hypocrisy and complete disregard for their own rules, which they love to hold us SO strictly to.

ADDITIONALLY, they removed his post, WHICH WAS SATIRICAL IN NATURE, as it seemed to have been picking up quite a bit of support, as Riot was being exposed for their hypocrisy. This sort of censorship is COMPLETELY UNJUST, and goes against all things that they claim for these boards to represent. Riot claims to "not be trying to create a 'safe space'" but they censor posts made IN JEST, as they fear the public becoming informed to their [actual] nature.

He had been documenting proof of these atrocities as they occurred, but in his attempt to prove that he is reformed he was hesitant to post them as he didn't want to 'stir the pot' any more than he was already being [wrongly] accused of doing. Since they have resorted the same kind of toxic behavior and NAME-CALLING that they perm-ban people for, I will be sharing them as to expose this treachery. If you delete them, I will remake as many accounts as it takes, and post them on as many other boards as it takes until the people are made FULLY aware of your wrongful ways, and your [ironically[ TOXIC behavior(s).

Example 1: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a498/Greigbre/Screenshot%202_zpsreqwvbug.png Nothing needs to be said here. We've ALL seen the witch hunts/tar-and-feather sessions that unfold every time somebody comes on to these boards looking for an explanation as to why they were PERM BANNED for getting triggered by a troll...one who, often times, is literally just baiting people in to reports/perm bans...but they say the system is working as intended, and continue to drop erroneous 'statistics' showing their "progress" because they know that the people will just take it at face value.

Example 2: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a498/Greigbre/Screenshot%207_zpsarsdkfv4.png Where to start...First of all, how about Rioter trying to pretend that calling someone an SJW is meant as an "insult". Very presumptuous, very incorrect, and very pathetically convenient. My brother means SJW as a term of endearment. As part of his reform, he has learned to love and respect Social Justice Warriors. He has come to realize that you are all correct. He should be the bigger man. He should COMPLIMENT people who do wrong by him and disagree with him. Peace, love, and all that. Just because [this] Rioter(s) hold a negative connotation with the term does not automatically mean that my brother meant it as an insult, and you can't punish him based solely on your misinterpretation/twisting of his words. BUT, since he wants to talk about antagonistic behavior, let's talk about it...how about the COUNTLESS threads where forum frequents, and even RIOTERS THEMSELVES, antagonize people who are looking for answers as to why they are banned?

Should you not 'be the bigger people' regarding these folk...or does that only stand true when you're telling OTHER people how to react when trolls are RUINING their entire gaming experience? Ironic, isn't it? (and hypocritical) ((Oh, and nice double standards))

Example 2.5: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a498/Greigbre/Screenshot%201_zpsi4rfnral.png My brother compliments a forum-goer's intelligence, and is treated like a CRIMINAL because of it. Rioter claims that it is due to his 'consistent' inflammatory remarks...

How interesting...so you want people to reform, and when they try to reform, when they OFFER SOMEONE A HEARTFELT COMPLIMENT, you just turn around and bash them as if they just can't seem to do ANYTHING right? Yet you guys wonder why people "don't" reform? Maybe because you don't fucking let them? You DEFINITELY don't HELP them along the way...and neither do your lackeys on these forums, with their constant belittling and condescending/hollier-than-though tones and posts.

Eample 3: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a498/Greigbre/Screenshot%208_zpsny5oix6f.png Here is where they literally DELETED AN ENTIRE THREAD JUST BC THEY DIDN'T AGREE WITH IT...Interesting...There were quite a number of people in the thread who were participating in the discussion...it seemed pretty "serious" to me...? I mean, you people DID implement a system to report people "unskilled". That seems a lot like SHAMING to me, and Riot was NEVER held accountable for such toxicity, despite loving to throw around suspensions/restrictions/BANS for similar behavior...so I'm confused...YOU get to deem THAT discussion "not serious" just because it makes you uncomfortable, and exposes some more of your corrupt, twisted ways? Interesting...Interesting and convenient...

Example 4: http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a498/Greigbre/Screenshot%2010_zpsli4jm1dj.png Rioter literally send him ANOTHER [redundant] message, just to reiterate what he has already stated in another message, and to call my brother a "jerk" as well, before issuing a 7-day forum suspension.

That seems pretty TOXIC to me. Where is this guys perm ban? We don't name-call in League of Legends, sir. SHAME ON YOU.

I know that there are MANY players, like my brother and like myself, who are getting absolutely SICK and TIRED of this Dictatorship-style bullshit that you are pulling, and just because you "don't need us" anymore, now that the game has taken off and you've successfully set yourself up to cater to these clueless millenials with participation ribbons, and a cheesy honor system, doesn't change the fact that WE are what shaped this game. Our support, our constant feedback, all the surveys, all the beta testing....that was US, not you, and you better wake up before we ALL get fed up and leave for better games.

Thanks for your time, have a great day, good luck and have fun.

Oh, and...

You're arguments seem to mostly be: He wasn't being serious when he showed no signs of being sarcastic. He was being serious when he showed signs of being sarcastic. Rules when taken entirely out of context and applied incorrectly should also apply to Riot and mods.

The only sort of valid point you make is the thing about him being a "jerk". But given that Riot's core rule in-game and on the forums is "don't be a jerk", it's obvious in which context this statement is made. Not as an insult, but as a description of the actions that got him banned.

Whatever the case, you loaded this thread pretty damn hard. Even the poll is between 3 options of Yes.

Also, the storytelling narrative of you supposedly are some small time hero fighting against the evil cooperations and the big evil crowd blah blah, are seriously getting old. It's 1 thing to employ a few generalisations to get a point across, it's however another to bank the weight of your speech on that entirely.

If your stance really has so much weight, you shouldn't need to rely on cheap emotional manipulation like that as you can simply prove your worth with critical thinking and evidence alone. This is not some sensationalist news outlet, and you know why they always have to exaggerate the living shit out of things, because otherwise they can't push their agenda. Is your stance just as flimsy as theirs?

Also, you can't hold your position as a player hostage, threatening "do this or we will leave". Why, you ask? Because I don't think Riot is gonna change anything for 1 or 2 players, and it will also make you seem like you're the "brute" when it comes to negotiations, which further devalues your position.

This is why, if you have anything to say, just formulate it normally.

I am not sure if you are trolling or genuinely misguided.

In either case that's 5 mins of my life I will never get back after reading that nonsense.
