Banned for use of malicious 3rd party programs... what?

I came back home today to play some League of Legends, and I find out that my account has been permanently banned due to "use of malicious 3rd party programs".

As far as only third part programs associated with League that I have used was a custom skin program, of which I had uninstalled well over a year ago and did nothing to alter any sort of gameplay or mechanics, and the old replay system.

I need to know how I can dispute this ban in any way, as I can assure all of you, I would never use anything like scripts, hacks, or do anything to gain an outside or unfair advantage in League.

Update: When I now go to see my report ticket, every instance of text is replaced with "Redacted". I really hope some sort of automated system hasn't just blocked me.

A lot of people are getting banned for third party programs today, which is kinda weird. You can scan for viruses and/or open up a support ticket to see if you'll find any luck.

Same thing happened to me, they banned mt 4+ year main. Definitely just used some detection software to do a mass ban without using humans to actually verify. I've never used a 3rd party program before, not even once.

Same thing as happen to me as well idk if i did something wrong but i came back on using the same skin program and it banned me too....

Same thing happened to me. Everybody keep these threads going, if this happened to enough people eventually they will investigate. Everybody watch these boards in the coming days and we will work to resolve this but we all need to be persistent with their support team, forums, and subreddit. Try to find as many people affected as possible, the more people affected the better our odds.

Fortunately I have a fair amount of experience in computer software design and the law. I can tell you a dozen ways of how this sort of thing happened. But in order to diagnose the problem, I need to know how and when this is happening. When did this happen for all of you? And did anything odd happen with your client? If you want to know the exact time this happened, check the time you received the automated email.

Mine happened at 6:06 pm today, while I was alt-tabbed, waiting for my client to finish patching. The Store and Hextech Crafting system were both down at the time.

Same thing just happened to me. For the exact same reason and I have no idea what could have caused it. I have used the 2 side buttons on my mouse for WoW but no macros set or used for other games. Seems suspicious and fishy there have been so many lately.
