I got banned for spoiling a movie... really ?

Hi guys! So like the title indicates it, i was banned for spoiling avengers infinity war. The thing being bad or good is arguable and I don't want any hate comments like: "You piece of sheet, get what you deserve!". My question for you guys is : Do you think it's fair to get banned for such a thing in an instant (I mean 30 minutes or so) and never get to see those people who are intentionally feeding, insulting, flaming or AFK getting banned after a full team report ? Am I just missing something here or is it opposite day ? I mean we had a toxic Riven who AFK'd the game I was reported for my behaviour and yet nothing happened (I know it for a fact). Again I'm not here to complain, I find it quite funny actually. I just wanted your thoughts on that.

Intentional feeders get punished quite frequently. However, by spoiling a very popular movie, in a way that you're basically forcing people to watch you spoil it, you are in effect trolling. I'm unsure if that's actually punished in game unless it's egregious, but on the boards it certainly may be punished as per our policy on spoilers.

Regardless of how many people reported you, if Riot decided that your spoiling of the movie was done in bad faith and only with the intent to annoy, grief, piss off, or troll other players, it certainly may have resulted in a punishment.

I'm fine with you being punished for this. What difference does it make that you're being a dick to other players outside the context of the game? You're still intentionally being a dick using Riot's communication medium.

The plot of this movie came out in the early 90's....If this movie was an original story i'd get it but c'mon now...

Lol they even had a post saying that they will suspend any posts that will spoil the movie until the 11th of May. I guess that extends to in game too.
