Chat Restriction creates players who won't communicate.

I can tell you right now after this last chat restriction with no profanity use in the chat log or anything of the sort I will no longer ever communicate through in game chat again ever. You gave me chat restriction over a game in which i was getting blasted by a booster and a smurf and somehow you people expect that when that happens someone isn't going to be upset. Not only am i chat restricted but i am chat restricted off of 2 games of play after having a 3 month gap in play, played 1 game another 2 month gap in play, played 2 games another month gap in play, played for about 2 peeks and another 3 month gap in play. how do you chat restrict someone for 10 games who hasn't even been playing the game

You don't need to use that kind of language to face a restriction. A lot of small things are punishable - report-calling, score-shaming, passive aggressiveness and so on. It would be great if you posted your chatlog so we can point out the stuff for you!

You have every right to be upset. But keep in mind that there is a difference between being upset in silence or being upset and breaking the rules. I would like to give you a more detailed comment for this comment of yours but for that I would need to see the chatlog so I can adjust my wording. Showing your frustration in a counterproductive way is never a good option.

I and many others here would like to see the chat logs, you can easily receive a punishment without using profanity.

That being said even though it isn't Riot's preferred approach (they expect you to mute, report, and move on) there are ways to respond to people without setting yourself up for a chat restriction. Stooping to someone else's level or arguing back and forth isn't allowed just because someone else started it, if you aren't going to respond civilly you just shouldn't respond at all.

Punishment levels don't decay while away from the game for this exact reason.

Riot doesn't want you to get a punishment, move off of League for a little while, then come back to a clean slate. They expect you to actively reform and behave yourself.

100% true. Even when teammates ask me questions, I'll usually ignore them now that I've gotten a chat restriction. I don't know why the chat even exists, it's just there to bait people into getting punished.

Pretty sure anyone, including Riot, would expect you to be upset. Thats kinda why the rules exist dude. Because flaming upsets players and ruins the experience. Anyways, hope you enjoy the disabled chat. Ive heard many people say it changed the game in the most positive ways for them. I hope you like it as much as they do!

the trolls in this game are loved by this player behavior community. They can INT, steal your camps, and type shit like "U MAD BRO"?! "YOU SEEM MAD" all in an attempt to bait you into typing a normal human response like "fuck you loser". Bye bye account. All part of the plan. losers in this forum feel powerful when you complain about the injustice, losers trolling feel powerful when they get the popup about a punishment. Its win-win for the low-Ts.
