Toxicity is out of control in this game

Not five minutes ago I just finished a game where chat was dominated by not one, but TWO racist, antisemite wannabe nihilists trolling the hell out of everyone and being offensive a. f. Seriously awful stuff, and naturally it got personal right off the bat. To make this shit sandwich of a match as absurd as it was awful, some clown on my team natters on about reporting me for playing poorly. Because when people vomit forth hatred towards Jews, black people, and my cancer-survivor family member, the only real issue of concern is someone's lack of skill at the game. Obviously.

(Yes, I mute, but I that doesn't wash the taste out of my mouth and I shouldn't have to do it several times per game.)

I play this game to unwind, not to lose my faith in humanity.

The human race is out of control. Deal with it or don't play this game. Everyone has a story to tell. Why should yours be special? use /mute all and play the game or don't complain about mentally ill humanoids ruining your games.

One game with people like that is one game too many. But even if it were a one-off (rather than an example of the kind of thing I have encountered repeatedly), the empathy-free responses this thread has seen so far would go a long way towards telling me that the problem is near universal and entrenched.

I'm sure you are a very edgy lad and all your little friends are quite impressed. However, Riot is a big operation that is concerned with more than just edgelords like your good self. There are sane adults who play this game that will be put off by the frequency of racist scum vomiting their poison onto chat. And that could mean lost revenue for Riot, so yeah, they actually do care about my precious snowflake feelings.
