BS Chat ban

Look, I got a chat ban before more than once and I'm adult enough to read the log and say "yea, I see what I did there" and move on. Earning my way out.

But today, I had a person go full toxic and just go off ALL game on me, I restrained and did not make any mistakes, didn't call names, just told them to stop harassing me and that I did nothing.

Then I get a chat ban... for that game... where the person obviously falsely reported me to make themselves feel better.

How do I challenge this? It is a wrong ban and I accept the correct ones, so I darn well am not taking a false one.

I got chat restricted after two games of insanely toxic behavior (actually using the n-word). The bans are sent out on the basis of the level of the toxicity (in my case, rather quickly since I used racial slurs). There's no amount of games required to see a chat ban, just based on the toxicity and how often it gets reported.

Can you post your chat logs? We can't help you see what might have triggered it unless you do. If you truly feel the ban was unfair, you can file a support ticket.

This is the game I question, note in other games I said things like "f'ing this" ... not deragatory towards someone, but I suppose that was enough to justify those games getting reported as any profanity is reportable right?

Anyways, this is the last game with two guys in a duo harassing me all game, not the yi ran around mid the entire game, and even after he was 6, all he did was camp his friends lane bot and ignore top and mid. I kept pinging everytime I needed help and was pushed (I was kass vs katarina).... I wasn't behind, I wasn't feeding, I wasn't dying, and I didn't lose lane. THey just out of nowhere start raging on me saying I was griefing and all that, I try to generally not mute people unless i have to, and i shouldv'e here, but still I don't see where I was reportable.

pretty much things that can cause a negative environment can be a valid report. The first part of the chat has minor passive-agressiveness and then ramps up in toxicity mid game. Definitely a valid reported game.

Hmm .. I won't say it is out of no where. Firstly, understand that a junglers job isn't to gank lane, and they aren't obligated to come upon your "need assistance" pings. Their job is to exert or deny map pressure and objective control.

Eitherway, lets break your chat down.

Pretty much a jab to the jungler already cos you don't like the way he plays.

the WTF and sigh is pretty much "dude, you suck" and is a form of passive-aggressiveness which actually triggers people much more than full flames.

the remake comment causes a negative environment by encouraging surrendering, which people don't like to give up. Pretty much the same as saying "gg, ff@20"

These two comments just plainly blaming your team mates. People don't like being blamed.

Up until this point, your chats have been pretty much just degrading and blaming others. So, jinx does have a valid report already at this point.

I hope that know that the remaining chat is just you triggering more negativity by continuing the flame war. At this point, you should just mute or ignore them to minimize the overall negative environment of the game and just focus on gameplay.

From a behavioral standpoint, see if you can focus on comeback suggestions, suchs as warding to counter the roaming or suggesting to hold the CC until Kat jumps in.

From a gameplay standpoint: Keep in mind that as an "assassin mid" like Kass, you shouldn't be letting your laner roam and if they do, you should be roaming along with her to get kills back in your favor. If you are a control mage like Anivia / Viktor, you shouldn't even give them a chance to roam and keeping the lane pressure up.

Finally, realise that match-making puts you with team mates that can be better than you, and sometimes matches you with team mates weaker than you.

The ones that are weaker than you may not have the map awareness, gameplay knowledge as you, so you need to gently suggest it to them. Though you can't expect people to learn map awareness in 1 game. So give them a break.

You wouldn't like it when you are paired with stronger team mates (where they have better game knowledge than you) and the stronger team mates just keeps saying you suck. They down side is that you may not even know why they are saying you suck. But when you encounter that, it surely does make the game not fun.

A high Diamond player once said:

If you are in your proper ELO, You'll win 40% of your games no matter what you do. You'll loose 40% of the games no matter how hard you try. 20% of the games you can influence the outcome of the match with your gameplay / communication.

So if this was a 20% game, then your initial communication already led it downhill. That being said, downhill doesn't mean its over. So don't give up so early.

Honestly, as a player who has played mid lane with many different junglers, rather than harping on your jungler not ganking you should be focusing on a few things.

What is he doing with his power? Is he denying creeps to the enemy jungler by counterjungling them? Is he helping out a lane that is in the same boat? Is he making a huge play around a major objective? Is he pushing a tower down with another laner? Learning how to do this and adapt playstyle accordingly helped me to become a better laner and a much lighter hearted player.
You were chatting a lot even for someone in their 30s. I'm in my 20s and even I know that typing isn't worth it. If your Jinx ADC was becoming a keyboard warrior that game, that's fine, let her. Don't follow her. Trust the system to not wrongfully punish you and mute/report her.

You really got toxic and passive aggressive in chat and that's what hit you with the punishment.

Fair enough and well said, I know I wasn't in a good mood before the game started so I'm not surprised, just frustrated because if I had logs of what they were saying, you'd see that they deserved at least the same treatment.

I'll eat the punishment and learn how to mute better. Thanks for the read and replies.

I suggest muting people like that so you don't need to restrain yourself. I also feel that it is a game and you should say whatever the hell you want, but riot is a bunch of pansies.
