Should Riot punish afk in ranked more severly?

Hey everyone, I know we've all had that game, maybe in placements or promos, where for no reason, someone afks. This can be frustrating, making a loss hurt more, especially when you feel you could have won if it hadn't happened. My question is, what kinds of punishments would be more appropriate for ranked? I get that in normals afk doesn't really matter, but in ranked where games count and often take longer, I personally feel more serious repercussions for toxic behavior need to be added. Anyways, let me know what you have to think.

Update: This was made in response to someone afking at 3:48 in my 1st game of a promo series. Losing that one put huge pressure on winning 2 games, which ultimately led to a game 3 loss, ending my series on a sour note, causing me to look back and dwell of the afk player who put me in that position. I know losing a promo is my fault, but having an afk player ruin game one with no noticable repercussion leaves a sour taste in my mouth. -Q
