I admit, I used to leave a lot of games a year or so ago in League. However, I've been pretty good recently about leaving games and staying in my games. Last night, I had terrible internet forcing me out of my games twice. I tried my best to get back into the games; however, I could not. I was expecting a 15 min que timer or something, which is fun, but I get 5 20 min low priority ques. This always happens: whenever I get a low priority que it is always 5 20 min games. The last time I got a low priority que was back in late December. I play many games without leaving one; I'd say 1 in 40 or so games. I thought League was supposed to recognize that people make mistakes and I thought the whole point in the Leaver Buster / Chat Restrictions was to improve and help people, not keep them in a bottomless pit.

stop leaving and you dont get a leavebuster. that helps to improve or not.

Did you read what I wrote? So you expect me or my internet to be perfect every time I play league? I wrote how I haven't gotten a Leaver Buster low priority que in 3 months and STILL get 5 20 min low priority games. Riot needs to be a little more lenient.

no because your internet cant be perfect. but it cant be that bad that you get 20min leavebuster and still dont fix it or ask your isp what the fuck they are doing. a few month ago i left 5 games in a row because of internet problems and still didnt get any leavebusters.

also the system works in %. i didnt get a leavebuster because i played like 400 games without leaving once.

The first game I ended up fixing it I believe, but the game ended soon after I got back on. The second game I tried resetting my router and everything, and it still didn't work. I don't think I can exactly call my ISP because my mom would get a massive headache plus it was on a Monday. And I really don't buy into what you're saying: if you play many games and don't leave then Leaver Buster is more lenient because like I said in the post, I have played many games consecutively without leaving once and still got 5 20 min low priority ques. I could see if I got a low priority que of 20 minutes or something, but 5? Really Riot? It already takes 10-20 minutes with this new que system to get in a game; that means I have to wair 30-40 minutes to play a 30-50 minute game.

not that I personally care about when you left for whatever reasons lol. either call your isp and fix it, or deal with the constant leavebuster. you ruin the game for 4 (or maybe 9 if they dont enjoy 5v4) ppl just because you are lazy.

you have no 3rd option :D well ok you have... dont play.

Most of us think it's fair because we hate AFKs and have decent internet.

I hate afks as well but at least I try when my internet has unplayabale ping.

If your internet is shitty enough to have 'unplayable ping' on a regular basis, you shouldn't be playing League other than MAYBE bots.

My internet is pretty bad; however, it's completely random. Sometimes it's slow and sometimes it's not; there's not pattern to it. It kind of just lags whenever it wants to.

And what have you done about it? Did you run traceroutes to ask RIOT support for help figuring out whats going on in those games? Contacted your ISP? Got a better router? Run a hardwired connection? Pay for better internet packages?

If your internet is bad, don't play. If you choose to play, and screw up games for others, suck up your 20 minute leaverbuster and be glad the system isn't more severe.

I've actually gotten a new router but my mom has to set it up because she has to contact our ISP so they can activate it or whatever.

That makes no sense. That's not how routers work. There's nothing about router setup that an ISP would need to help you with. Completely possible that you/your mom are not savvy enough to set it up, but I wouldn't rely on an ISP for that.

Haha that's honestly what I said. I've been trying to get the new router set up for a while now but my mom keeps telling me that she needs to do it because Comcast needs to activate it despite what I told her so I'm going to see if we can set it up this weekend.

i think the system is way too pussy. 20min is a joke, in 20min i'd watch a lets play or a streamer.

it should go up to 1h and if ppl dont learn up to 2h. thats what i think of the system. its a joke

Leaving 1/40 is still leaving I been playing for a year and a half and have never left a game. Dcd at load screen once and that was it. It's never worth it. Just wait out the last 15-20 mins

Yes, it is. It is a lot. Especially when the amount of times you are supposed to leave and screw and other people over is "Never".
