2-week suspensions: state of account afterward

Hey,

Today I got banned for 2 weeks for feeding; not going to deny it, it was justified and I'm looking to change myself in light of perspective coming back in December.

I'm wondering what happens to my account's state once the suspension is lifted though? Specifically, this has me worried: "For players getting 14-day or permanent bans, we're no longer confident they are willing to improve their behaviors even if they are shown explicit, direct feedback. So, we'd prefer these players take their time elsewhere."

Does this mean my account will always be on the verge of getting banned if I'm the slightest toxic? I remember when I first got warnings of my toxicity and that after some time, I would receive messages after games congratulating me for improving my behavior. Now because Riot thinks I am no longer willing to improve my behavior, I won't be getting any feedback and will just be banned immediately after a bad behavioral showing. Is this correct?

So theoretically I can be a positive individual for the next 3000 matches but if I fuck up once, my acc's temporarily or permanently banned? I'm really looking to change myself for the better and revert my account to it's base state (the state where Riot doesn't percieve you to be toxic) but that doesn't seem possible given the quote above :(

What you've heard is correct. By the time a player reaches a 14-day ban, past data has shown that there's a very low rate of reform. But that doesn't mean it's impossible. Some players have managed to come back from this. And yes, the system is set up such that given enough time, the status of your account may still improve and you can be in the clear again. Fortunately, it's not actually that difficult to avoid bans in this game. Here's what you should do when you get your account back:

  1. Stop intentionally feeding. This is what you were punished for, so it should be your main point of focus.
  2. Related to the first point, play your best each game. Don't give up on the game. Sometimes things won't go so well, and you just have to let it go if they don't.
  3. Mute everybody at the start of each game. You can just put "/mute all" into the chat at the start of each game. This way, whatever other players say cannot get to you. And it removes the possibility of responding to negativity in such a way that you'd fall into their trap and wind up banned. Even if you've not had an issue with your behavior in chat, I'd still do this. Remember, we're being as cautious as possible here, so that you can keep your account.
  4. Along with 3, be sure to still be communicating with pings. You can provide sufficient communication in the game through pings. Most games I play, basically the only form of communication is pings. Barely anybody says anything relevant in chat anyhow.

None of the other people who replied have any idea about what they're talking about. The truth is, you're screwed. I can already tell because if you're even worried that you might slip up again it means you're going to slip up again, likely more times than you'll even realize. Nowadays this toxic liberal community reports for the slightest offenses. Some people even report you for being too polite. With the addition of premades in ranked, it's going to get even worse.

As a rioter informed me, you could always have gotten a 14-day ban or a permaban for your actions in one game alone. There is no grace period and the amount of games in which you were good vs the amount in which you were bad is not taken into consideration. If everyone on your team reports you and there's any evidence whatsoever that you slipped up, no matter how small, you're going to get the hammer dropped on you. The automated system makes this all particularly unforgiving too. It doles out most punishments within 15 minutes of you getting reported.

So yes, your account is on the verge of being permabanned and always will be. What no one else realizes is that EVERY account is always on the verge of getting perma'd. If you haven't been following along to Riot's rhetoric then you might not see what their stance actually is right now, but here it is: "Riot is no longer interested in reforming players. They want all toxic players gone and only wish to keep those who are never toxic and who have never been toxic."

They've essentially scrapped their whole "reform" outlook, because they failed to make that work, and moved onto an elimination system out of frustration. If I were you I'd treat this game as the "free-to-play" model that it is so that you don't feel too cheated when they eventually take away your account.

People are punished when having a high percentage of games reported. If you keep playing and don't get reported, the percentage will drop and you'll get farther from triggering a punishment. Basically, not playing for any amount of time won't help, but playing a lot without getting reported will.

It's been a while since I got this information so I really don't know where to find the source atm.

Once a year, on Christmas, someone checks how many times you've been naughty and how many times you've been nice.

Seriously though, if you've been banned for feeding, showing results in improving your play will also show you're not trolling. Afterwards if you have let's say 3 bad games in a row on the same day, it will be considered a slump; everyone has bad days. If you have multiple bad days in a row, then you'll be considered to be feeding on purpose and banned for a longer period or for good.

But if theoretically like you say are banned after 3000 good matches and a bad one, then theoretically screw them. Plenty of other games in the market if this one doesn't know how to keep its players.

You could not be toxic then your question wouldn't be necessary because you'd have nothing to worry about.

Basically you're going to be on riot's shit list since you've been banned for being toxic before. So yes you should be worried about getting banned again, and try to control yourself in game, if you can't then turning off your chat might be for the best.

OP: a real answer is you as yet are permma-banned and that means you can work this down...

I won't say it will be easy or quick but you can work it off, I'm not sure how the punishment system deals with a strike below permma...what I do know is with time/amount of games played you could work it down.

Good Luck with that and if anyone knows how to help OP I'd like to hear it just to learn...Blue, Red...anyone one who has actually proven knowledge can we get an answer ?

Again OP I believe it's possible...hard to do but very possible :) Hope this helps a bit.

And even if he just say nothing at a whole game, it is considered also unsportsmanslike.

Yeah, misleading !! You can say Nothing the whole game and still be toxic :)

The crybaby I see Most on the boards and in game are the one's being rude....People want to call out players for reporting legitimate things and make them feel like they are the one in the wrong.

Fact is rules are there everyone agree's to them: If someone breaks the rules Hit that report button and don't be intimidated not to.

If someone is truly doing nothing wrong then they won't get punished !! Don't believe rhetoric !

Feeding Justified

lolnope.

Glad you've decided not to be toxic, though.
