Punishment and season rewards

I'd like to give my opinion as a user and get any information of whether it's right or wrong what I'm thinking.(Sorry if my English is bad) I just read the requirements for obtaining s7 ranked rewards, and even tho I reached gold in duo and I'm on my way to reach gold in flex, I won't get any reward just because I got banned 2 weeks in September. And yeah, I understand that there must be a punishment, but isn't 2 weeks without playing + no rewards in-game for the time enough? I mean throwing all my time trying to achieve something to waste just because of one single ban 2 weeks later than the limit was... But what most pisses me off is that actualy being toxic doesn't loose games, if i play good does it matter if I flame keeping in mind that everyone can just mute what I say? If someone is annoying you just mute him, that's all. Simple. In my opinion toxic people is punished way too hard, and people that ACTUALY loose games, like afks, trolls, int. feeding people... loose way more games than flamers, and I find it unfair. I'd rather preffer 4 toxic teammates that I can mute at any time that play good and make the game enjoyable than people who don't flame but loose all their lanes and throw the game and waste my time. In conclusion, I'm not saying being toxic should be allowed, but why isn't there an option to mute in-game chat permanently without having to mute 9 people every start of game? If there was this option I'd just click it and play my games well, without anybody annoying other people. Because at all, pings are more than enough to communicate, you don't need a chat. As this game is really competitive and it's imposible not to get frustrated or angry at some point, just ban people without allowing them to chat in game. Why do you deny rewards to people that have played for them just because of some actions that didn't change the game experience of anybody at all. Muting someone is just one click away, and it stops any discomfort, wish I could do the same with all this people that throw my games... Just think about it, if I flame while I've muted everyone, no one would even notice, the game would go on just the same, wouldn't it be the same if they muted me? I'm just really disappointed and frustrated because I've been waiting for this rewards with entusiasm and now I found out it was all a big waste...

You already knew from the start of the season that if you got at least a 2 week ban prior to seasons ending that the result would be no rewards YET you still broke the rules.

It's your fault and you got no one else to blame.

I've actually lost quite a few games from just one person being toxic to one other on my team. Either because:

A) Both were typing B) The Jester was typing. C) Squire was just trying to do his job but was distracted/tilted by the Jester who wouldn't shut up. D) The entire game was King, Queen, Knight, and Squire trying to get Jester to stop being rude since it wasn't funny.

So yes, being toxic can lose you games.

If you're being toxic, you don't deserve any good things. Especially if you get punished. If you can't be good 2-3 months before the season ends, how can Riot expect you to be a good little creature/human/attack helicopter/anything you might be, a month before season ends? They can't, so they take away the thing the summoner may really want as a way of saying that hey, you should've been a good creature/human/attack heli/whatever you identify as.

It's important to remember that, first and foremost, League is a GAME. The point of a game is to have an enjoyable time. The secondary point is to win.

If you are creating a negative experience, that is more important than however much you may be skilled at winning games. Riot tries to match you with opponents of your skill level, so all winning/losing does is adjust who you're up against. Being negative (or intentionally throwing games), however, both destroy the FUN of the game. This is why there is a punishment for toxicity -- you don't get to abuse other players and make them more wary of using chat (or of playing the game) just because you feel they deserve the abuse.

And, yes, Riot comes down HEAVILY on trolls and intentional feeders. Both of those earn an immediate 14-day ban when confirmed, with no warning given. So it's not like they're ignoring those issues.
