Banned for Overclocking My Computer

Hello League of Legends Community, I do not think that many of you will actually read this but what the hell. This past summer, 2017, I went on a three-month vacation (it was super fun). I come home tired as ever and decide to go to sleep early. When I wake up the next morning I decided to log onto league to see what was up and update it if I need to. The usual update of course but then something strange happens when I log in. A pop up appears saying player permanently suspended check email for further details. At this point I think it is a joke right, I mean I haven't been home in months everything was fine but no, sure enough, this was all real. I email riot support immediately hoping to get this all sorted out, I will admit that I was hostile but keep in mind that I had invested several hundreds of dollars into this game over the years. Honestly, I think the emails were worse than the actual ban, every email went like this:

Hello Riot Games, I saw that my account was suspended, What is this about I haven't been on in months. Why did I get banned, and what can I do to fix it?

Hello Spywy007, Sorry no your account is permanently suspended. You cheated, and you are done. Bye.

Hello Riot Games, Wait what, can you explain what happened. I did not cheat, what makes you think I did. Also, I can prove that I wasn't in the country during this time. Please help me understand what happened.

Hello Spyw007, We can not go into any more depth with our explanation, you cheated. Don't do it again, bye.

As you can imagine this was very annoying for me to deal with. I am heartbroken over the loss of my account for no reason other than we think you cheated. No evidence, no nothing. Honestly, if I cheated I would say I did, I have nothing left to lose, I never cheated. I read some forums and realized that an immense amount of things can be considered cheating by riot. Guess what, one of which is overclocking a computer. This does not go directly against the rules of the game but often is flagged as cheating. I had just learned how to overclock my pc before my trip, and I did. I enjoyed it for maybe 3 days. This is what I and many others I have talked to have agreed it must have been that triggered Leagues ban hammer to come down on me. So take my story as a lesson.
  1. Riot support sucks, they will not help you with wrongful bans at all

  2. Do not change your pc in any way that could benefit it drastically before playing league of legends

  3. Do not spend money you are not prepared to lose, you could get banned at any time. Good luck to all of you summoners still in the rift, and my heart is with all of the others who have been wrongly banned as I have.

                                                                                                                                                                    GLHF...Sincerely,
                                                                                                                                                                                      Spywy007

I've upgraded my PC on three separate occasions over the 6 years i've played league. You weren't banned for overclocking.

You are welcome to provide screenshots, because no one is going to believe your little script there

To be quite frank, Riot has no clue whether you're overclocking or not. Overclocking is a hardware level change (which is applied through software) - Riot could care less.

If Riot really punished you for overclocking, they'd have to punish anyone who had a faster unit to begin with. Overclocking is doing nothing more than making your computer act faster than the manufacturer certified it to be - it is not against the rules and never will be.

I've upgraded my computer once every other year so I don't think you'd have been banned for it. I have been playing league for many years now and I am still here.

I checked your posting history and you have a conflicting story within your own posting history. In this thread, you say you did not check for 3 months during the summer.

In your previous post, you say:

{quoted}

I always thoight these were fake, I have been inactive for just over a month. I have been on vacation, and sure enough I got banned for 3rd party. Riddle me this why in the world would someone that put almost 300 dollars onto his account cheat. They havent responded yet but I am terrified of loosing my account. Anyway to get them back?

Your posting history discredits your own story and impeaches you.

The only thing I believe is that you have been permabanned for cheating. Nothing else you say is credible atm.

Hello Spywy007, Sorry no your account is permanently suspended. You cheated, and you are done. Bye.

This does not sound like anything Riot support would say.

Not sure what you're going to expect from this thread.

There's nothing you can do to provide us with enough information to make an informed opinion.

The two parties that have the best information is you and Riot. It sounds like Riot is convinced that you cheated. You have large reason to lie about cheating.

So I'm more likely to trust Riot.

They did not reply like that, lol.

That really looks made up, a riot support member won't just be free hat blunt and generally will give you the reason you were banned, so why don't you tell us the real reason you were banned?
