I honestly should have muted everyone. I called adc then a guy went adc after me. He didn't even say anything. He then took farm all game and refused to fight with me in lane (even when they would dive tower and was free kills). So I was clearly getting trolled and maybe I should have stopped talking about how I'm getting trolled. Over 30 minutes of not enjoying the game because of another player. I even apologized for being annoying about it.

1 report is all it takes to get a game reviewed, you spent all game talking about reporting the Varus. Because this achieves nothing but to encourage negativity it is often considered negative attitude and frequently bannable.

Chat bans are a very light punishment. If I were you I'd just take it as it is. I don't really think it's bad but what might have happened is that you were a little negative, got reported and flagged, person reading it sees that you claim you "won't get banned" (which is true), and just gave you the chat ban as a warning. I don't think it's entirely fair but did you happen to have another chat ban recently?

I feel sorry for you dude. You definitely didn't deserve anything, as others have said "its only a chat ban" those lead to further suspensions. Next thing you know, you go afk because your internet goes down for 10min and you have a 14day, or you go 6-11 and get reported for int by pre-made and you have a 14day. The system is automated and nobody reviews your chats unless a support ticket is opened. Riot has decided that it is in their economical best interest to punish people like you within the confines of this system, keep that in mind. Don't believe what anyone says about it being a community thing, its an economics thing, although I personally have no data or research to determine the motive yet. 1 thing I do know for certain is that a threshold of reports has to be hit in order for a chat to be run through their system. Enemy team chats are not valued. So if you know/feel you may have been reported in recent games, your account is at much higher risk of being audited by the system.

You could open a support ticket, it's pretty hit or miss. Really depends on who you talk to. Some people on the support team will look at the context of your chat and see how it built up slowly from a frustrating situation that was being escalated by your team and not you. Some will not look at it this way, and you will not receive any sort of help.

My advice for the future: mute all. It's only human to react in a defensive way when being accused/being harassed. Despite what everyone in this pseudo-pc community seems to believe, the natural instinct for anyone but a sociopath or someone with strong self-confidence is to vocalize a defense when under duress in a social situation(LOL chat), rather than run from it(mute). It's one of the most team based communicative games, which means its sucks to do this and you are going to have to suffer through several games of inevitable loss going through the motions due to lack of cooperation. Also means you will have to use your pings much more efficiently in hopes to keep these experiences at a minimum possible. Do not spam ping at your elo, people will ignore you. Also, do good in the game or they will ignore you as well.

I would advise you not to erroneously think you can handle the chat better in the future. You will eventually be worn down to a breaking point. Everyone wants to blame everyone but themselves and be as impactful as possible in this community...keep in mind its by majority coddled entitled millennials playing this game. Basically, they simply want to justify their beliefs that it is "your" fault to the furthest degree possible, and that degree in League is to give a report that will get an instant feedback validating their beliefs that you were the sole reason of detriment to their game experience. From a psychological perspective as well, its very rewarding for someone to have the option to "report" its a way of venting and offloading the burden of failure that was just experienced. Also, giving players an instant feedback report confirmation note or whatever it is, also naturally releases dopamine in the brain, which basically trains the brain into naturally wanting to do it again to get to that reward of neuro-chemical bliss. That's basically how you get the cesspool of chat/troll that is bronze. Anyways, there is no logic with them, they are sick children really, warped by culture/circumstance. That's why I advise not engaging in chat, and cutting it off at the stem with mute-all.

If for whatever reason this predicament worsens and the worst happens, simply make another account. It's what most of people do. The .006% they state to you is a completely warped statistic. In actuality, it's pretty close to 1/3. Almost 1/3 of players who have created a League of Legends account have received a permanent ban at some point in their career. No other game has this sort of system in place, so do not feel out of place if you do receive this eventually. If you happened to purchase RP on said account and there is no way of recovering it to be viewable or playable, I advise you contact your financial institution and put forth a chargeback. Despite League of Legends ToS stating you forfeit these rights, there is nothing they can do legally to contest this because (without referencing some legal terms and statutes I'm not privy to knowing off the top of my head) its basically bullshit. Riot Games has an abysmal F rating by the BBB, and for good reason.

I wish you the best of luck on the rift bud, just try to keep a cool head, realize you are better than the people flaming you and focus on getting really good with "your" game. I found it best to play around the people basically in low elo. You gotta like see if they are going to full on commit to something or not, then go with it yourself. Don't expect anything out of them in terms of following up or providing certain mechanical outplays.
