Leavebuster/ afkers

In the last 4 games I have played, 3 people have left or disconnected. Luckly, one was a remake, but the other 2 we ended up losing. When I started playing in season 4, leavebuster actually banned people for leaving games (I know because I was banned once for it). I have not been banned since or even punished since, but I think leavebuster should temp ban people again. Either that or riot should create a new type of ban, like banned from playing ranked. I understand that people have lives outside of the game or their internet is bad, but the reality is, if you are not sure whether you will be able to stay for an entire game, then you should not start one. Tell me your opinion!!! Love to know everyone elses thoughts on this issue!

Edit: If you leave more than once, for those who were not around in season 4. You were banned after leaving 3 games. Not just one. So no, people with emergencies would not get punished for this. As of right now, leave buster will only give low priority queue, it does not ban people anymore.

The very definition of "emergency" means you are not sure whether you will be able to stay for an entire game.... Should people never play again since emergency is impossible to predict outside of sci-fi and fantasy realities?

Life happens...if it's a once in a year or twice in a year thing then why ban a person? Emergencies happen. I had to leave game once to rush someone to the hospital who cut their finger open and had to get stitches because the bleeding wouldn't stop. Should I get banned for that?

If it's often...once a week...couple times a month, then yes they should get in trouble for it

ive been for just banning people from ranked only if they go afk during ranked games to often. they can still play normal games just not ranked. dont play ranked if you are not sure you can finish the game.
