Perma bann for no reason

yesterday i saw an email from riot that told me : "banned due to the use of malicious 3rd party programs or modifications to your League of Legends client". i have NOT done so or anything alike. i also never cheated, nor was i toxic. I just got randomly banned and i dont know why. this was my main account that i had had for years and suddenly its gone..forever. And i had nothing to do with this. Has this happened to anyone else before? is this by mistake? or is there something on my client that i dont even know about? I want my account back, because i did nothing wrong. or at least i wish to know why my account was taken from me so wrongly.

have you ever shared it? Sometimes that's the reason behind these. Send a ticket and see if you can talk to someone about it.

I got banned for the same reason.... even tho I didn't use any 3rd party program... maybe a problem in their banning system.... I am frustrated af as well..

Same thing happened to me too! Account i had for years gone! Even after i uninstalled programs months ago, i get a permaban yesterday for something i havent done in months. This is too frustrating, imagine it from our point of view. Being banned for something we already received punishment for and did not have installed is very unfair and unjust. Especially if its permabans

The same situation has happened to a number of people. Including an account of mine. I was able to contact player support, and was told as follows:

This lock was actually due to a manual review of the account by a Rioter and wasn't a result of any action taken by our Instant Feedback system so that is why there isn't a specific reform card/email for this. Also for some extreme behaviors like intentional griefing/feeding it is very clear to the majority of our players that it isn't acceptable and is why these locks can be issued without any warnings.

Basically, even though the suspension of one of my accounts was via toxicity apparently, they are taking a better grip on preventing negative players from impacting games in a, well, negative fashion. If you have been suspended, it was because you had done something wrong. If you'd like to deny it, then go ahead. But you're banned, so may as well except it. [slayer-jinx-catface]
