After playing for many years I'm probably quitting League of Legends due to the shitty report system

So, for the majority of my games I've been pretty decent. Admittingly I've lost my cool to the flamers and retorted back a couple times here and there. However, I think it's pretty fucking shitty that the most toxic pieces of garbage in the games I play report me simply because they know they are going to get reported for their behavior, and I'm reprimanded for it. I worked hard to get my season rewards, and now because some 12 year old twat clicked the report button after he trolled everybody all game I've been reprimanded and probably won't be getting my rewards. Oh, but he didn't get reprimanded. All the trash and shit he talked all game, and nothing. It's not very often that I retort back to a troll, but apparently the 1-3 times I've done it over the past month is more than enough now with this new system.

3-4 years I've played this game and never once got a damn report message once, until this crappy patch came out. Now any idiot who presses the report button can fuck anybody over. Great system. Thanks for letting the trolls troll even harder and screwing over the people who just want to play the game and earn the season rewards.

Don't tell them you are reporting them Report anonymously Don't flame or rage back. Don't ask others to report.

The new warning system sends out warnings regardless of if the report is valid the idea is to help toxic players who are actually toxic reform the idea of instant feed-back however it doesn't check logs before sending warning.

I don't understand how people can't enter a game and not type anything, especially if there are assholes on either your team or the other.

Idk it might just be easy cus I don't give a shit what people say to me on an online game

I've been reported several times for this very thing, and my retorts are often rather civil. Nothing's happened yet. I've always heard Riot looks very carefully at who to punish and how, so reports don't necessarily lead to punishments. If the tribunal decides your comments were justified, and many a player probably would, it won't even go to Riot. And even if it does, there's a good chance Riot won't think it punishable. Not sure about season rewards, though...

I do get where you're coming from though. For various reasons, I've quit this game about 15 times in my life.

If you got the warning pop-up, all that means is that the system has noticed a spike in the number of reports against you (i.e. more than normal), and just serves as a reminder to keep your behavior in check. It doesn't mean that you're in trouble.

If you got a chat restriction, then post your Reform Card so that we can see what was the behavior that led to your punishment there.

Regardless though if you want help or want to have a discussion, then raging like you did in your OP is not the way to get either.
