Perma banned, wrongfully I hope.

I had posted this in 'the wrong section' earlier, apologies I wasn't sure where to post it and I'm a little upset, so I'm not exactly in the best mindset. I just got off vacation I took at the start of summer, only to find out I've been permanently banned.. I haven't been on since before I left for vacation, so this is kind of upsetting to me. I have a theory.. which I would feel safer believing. One of my oldest childhood friends, knows a few of my passwords, and could possibly have guessed it and went on my account, because if not I've been hacked and that's even worse to think of. Now I've had this account since either before seasons, or at around season 1. I've put well enough money into the account, as well as hours earning all that I could, champions and runes, and I'm very upset to see that I have somehow been permanently banned even though I've not been playing. Understanding how the league report system and ban system works, I understand this is not in fault of Riot but there must be something that can be done about this? I had also seen that this person had made a post on my account which seemed to be extremely.. toxic, but had attempted to delete it to no avail. Although I cannot see the contents of the post I see the replies.. which lead me to believe it was nothing more than hate. After seeing this, I have no doubt whoever was on my account was a terrible person, completely toxic and entirely deserved the ban. However, this wasn't me. I do understand I don't have much of a way to prove it wasn't me.. nor can I prove I was hacked, but please I ask for some form of understanding.. I had this account and put so much work in it for years now.. I've grown and developed the understanding that toxic players ruin games, and even if you are matched up with toxic players the best thing you can do is be as understanding and helpful as you can be, as I have had been toxic before in the past myself. But after my reform I understood, and did my best to be anything but toxic to the community. To find all this out on my return from vacation? I can't express how upset I am, couldn't even begin to. All that I've earned.. all the matches I played, thrown away to someone who didn't even deserve it.. I leave this matter in your hands now Riot, I hope there is something that can be done about this.

I don't need to recover, I'm on the account. I'm permanently banned from playing due to.. well I'm not too sure but I know I had nothing to do with it. I can see the incredibly toxic chat log, but I've got no information on who or how for that matter.

Your best bet would be to contact Support and let them know as much information as possible. However, you alone are ultimately responsible for all activity on your account, so if your friend really did play on your account after you gave him your password then that ultimately falls on you the account holder.

But that was my point, I didn't directly give him my password, IF it was him. Haven't been in contact for a while now but, he knew my username, and had the ability to guess it was what I was getting at. I was just attempting to come up with a reason that made sense, as I've never been hacked nor have I been to any suspicious websites that would lead to phishing.. I just don't get it. Beyond all that, I just want to be able to play a game on my account.. that's all I've wanted since getting back from vacation. Thanks for the help though, I appreciate it. All these trolls hating reminds me how toxic the community can be lol.

If you do find out it was your "friend" sue his ass. Cause he really was not your friend.

I didn't give out my password. You ever set a password as your birthday? It's a similar event, only with a word of importance in my life. Someone who knew me, could know that word. If anyone truly paid attention they'd realize what I'm saying lol. As for the friend, I haven't found him and for all I know he may have passed away.

no and never. Cause i understand password security.

All my passwords contain at least 2 caps and 2 lower case letters that are not set next to each other plus i throw numbers in.

Secure passwords are even harder.

Honestly, that's how you forget a password when you stop playing a game for so long. I've done that so many times before in the past, I've adjusted to using one or two, three passwords max for everything I use. In hind sight, it was a terrible idea.

Sigh... For one, I didn't 'trust' my friend, it's life. You could stop being so know it all and try to use a little understanding? After a lifetime of knowing someone, not many things are truly secret. Either way, it was something that could be guessed if you really knew me and tried hard enough, and that's what made me believe that was possible.

Honestly I'm pretty frustrated and upset and not really in the mood for a lesson on Language Arts crap. My account I've had since before seasons I'm pretty sure, is permanently banned, and I get to come back from vacation to see this Permanent ban on my screen, all my cash and time thrown away for something I wasn't even here for. Not in the mindset to be writing paragraphs for explanation.

Maybe they can check the IP of the computer that played the toxic games and compare it to your typical IP. If they match or if your router assigns a unique IP every login then idk much else tbh.

First off, how exactly did he know your passwords? You cant say he guess it as that is impossible unless you use the same password for every single thing and that is just wrong. Second this wouldnt be considered getting "Hacked", i cant stand when people say they got hack when people know their account information. With that said especially since you wrote this as evidence you could have had a case and contact Support to help, but you are responsible for your account. If you knew he knew your information it is your responsibility to change it, even with that you should be changing your password regularly (with any account for that matter)

Now you could still contact them, im not sure how well it will help since they could look up this post and see that you knew your friend had information on your account, thus breaking the rules on the ToS!

I did not EVER, repeat, EVER, 'Give' out my password, not once did I ever say I did, if you guys would read correctly, I said it is possible he could have guessed it as it is something he might have known. For all I know, it was a hacker. I have no way of finding out as I do not know the whereabouts of the friend.

If you didnt give out your password how did he as you said " knows a few of my passwords" he would have to had gotten them from somewhere. And seriously no one should ever put their password as something as common as your birthday. that is just asking to be hacked.

He knows the passwords, but doesn't know I use them. Doesn't even know they're passwords, or so far as I know. Pet names, nicknames, etc. Things only someone who really knew me my whole life would know. But please, don't act superior in this situation. I'm sure you've done a few terribly idiotic things, so as we all do.

They refused to overturn due to lack of evidence. Seems pretty petty that my account gets permanently banned, even if it WERE me, over some chat. understandably, the chat was.. horrifying. It was bad. But for one it was me, and even though I couldn't prove it.. take my account away permanently? how is that sufficient solution? Permanent mute, removal of chat privilege, so many things could be much better than completely removing my account.. years of work, and hard earned cash spent on nothing.

UPDATE: Let it be known I had found out through confession my younger brother found my laptop in my room and was playing on my account while I was on vacation. MYSTERY F**KIN SOLVED RIGHT? lol.

Unfortunately he gets a pass... He's nine. I left my laptop at my mothers house while I went on vacation (staying away from tech was part of the vacation) and well.. who'd have thought.
