I apparently got banned for joking around with a guy that I already knew. TheDirtyReader and I were in a match earlier together and we joked about his club tag. Then I met with him later in a different match and we joked about his club tag, as in the text. I wish to see that Riot employees don't see this like I'm calling him names, but as like we we're joking. Please understand.

Here's the thing: You are not the only two people in the game. Depending on the game mode you can have up to 4 other players on the team who have to listen to you two "joke around". They don't know that you're friends with each other so as far as they're concerned you're being incredibly rude and disrespectful to another person. Let this be a wake-up call for you: Next time if you want to joke around like this (tip: don't use zero-tolerance policy phrases like you did here while doing so) then do so either in private chat or in a full pre-made where you know you won't get reported for it. The ban will stay.

It seems to me like you're making excuses....... if that's the case.. don't. That's not the way to go. It's very important to accept responsibility for our actions no matter what the circumstances.

First, the ban would not be implemented unless there was a record and a history of some previous reports. Second, you are using profanity and language which Riot frowns on - which could also have offended other players present. (Just like one person's smoke is not annoying to another smoker - it can be annoying to others). Third, the report for this game could also include possible references to your play within the game as well.

Some troll on your team probably reported you even though they had no jurisdiction to do so (they could read your chat but doesn't look like you directed anything towards them, just with your friend.)

It's not that bad. Take some time off and make a sincere appeal. What's important is that you really try your best to improve as a player and as a person. I understand your frustrations better than anyone. But I am here to help. You won't find many people on your side here.. With that being said it's important to show compassion to people who are different from ourselves. That doesn't mean you can do whatever you want and expect to get away with it, this is toxic behavior.. however, I believe in you. What level of punishment did you receive?
