I want everyone's opinion on this...

Today I logged into my account to find that I received a 10 game chat restriction. Unlike most people who come onto the boards asking for clarification on their punishments, I will not be providing any background info on the game (mainly because I believe it does not matter in the slightest what context was used, only what I typed). Just look at the chat and vote in the poll whether you agree with the punishment or not. It was only one game.

P.S. If you would like to know the context of the situation just ask and I'll gladly answer.

Trying to leverage a potential report in order to subjugate another player is indicative of toxicity.

Well deserved chat restriction. Don't threaten others with reports, if you are going to report ... do it quietly , after the game.

Riot has stated that this alone is reportable (aka punishable). And it only gets worse from there.

You seem to have the impression that if you don't use foul language, you can say whatever you want. That isn't true. In this game, you were crazy negative along with threatening to report teammates. That's all it takes.

Here's a quick tip to avoid future punishments. If another player has done something report-worthy, don't talk to them about it in game. Mute them if necessary and just report them at the post game screen. It will save you a lot of hassle, trust me.

If you read the following and think "I don't deserve a penalty" you are kidding yourself. It's not that you were raging at anyone, it's that you were contributing to the toxicity. You were directly "making the game harder to win" and "being a jerk". Those things lead to action on your account and you WERE doing those things. You can accept that, or it'll probably mean you'll be looking at 25 games soon.

its 10 games stop whining. if your getting harassed then maybe chat restrictions are a good thing.

There is no need to engage in a argument with another player. This just makes the situation worse. You created a negative experience for the rest of the players.

While nothing you typed by it's self is extremely toxic the whole situation made worse turns the experience into a very toxic one.
