LeaverBuster Warning Questions
So, I just got out of a game where I had spikes in my ms. I'm doing good in my lane, not great, but good, am in a party with all of my teammates and were all on a skype call as well, and suddenly my ms spikes to 500 even and sits there and says reconnecting for a good 5 minutes before I go to my task menu and attempt to shut down league as it isn't responding (but everything else is on my computer). It shuts down the game but not the client and shows an option to reconnect. I attempt to and it just shows a black screen. It then says I don't have internet connection and has a retry button (all while I'm still on my skype call). I retry. No changes. I reopen taskbar, manually shut down every instance of league I see, including all other extraneous programs that are running in the background, bring league back up, log back in and retry. Same result. I do it again 3 more times, and finally I'm let back in. I get to play for another 5 minutes before we overwhelmingly win the game (just that lucky/team was just comparatively that good I guess), only to get a Leaverbuster warning pop-up and have to state that I agree not to leave any further games. It is the only time I can remember, literally, ever having left a game (though I'm sure at some point it happened for some reason however long ago; I won't claim it hasn't ever happened, because I honestly don't know, but it certainly hasn't happened in at least a year), and it wasn't by my own choice or volition, and it was evident in the system that my ms had spiked and attempts to reconnect had been made. So, I'm curious, why the warning? Why do I have to agree to not do something I never chose to do in the first place? Does this make it more likely that I'll get punished in the future? Does this mean I have strike one? Does this mean I have responsibility for and have to worry about lag spikes? I honestly don't understand. I've been playing for a long time and I would like to continue playing, but this makes me wonder how much control I have over that when mechanical and electrical systems are susceptible to variances in performance and fault and our records get dinged for something we do not have any direct control over.
(My story can be confirmed by the party members I was playing with at the time of occurrence. Game ending sometime around 2:25 am EST)
