I am guessing this is where you are referring to someone saying they used the N word. It's better to try and deescalate than to provoke. My advice here would just be to mute them because telling them that they're going to be reported doesn't actually help anyone. It usually makes them angry that you're reporting them and they just go more toxic because they're already getting punished. Mute and move on. Don't engage and give them something else to type about. Just mute and move on. You're not giving that person any more things to type about and you're deescalating the situation by removing that person's text from your screen so that you don't reply to it.

You're now being toxic. You admit that you are trying to waste people's time. Don't make a toxic situation more toxic by adding your own toxicity to the game. Don't try to punish one person by punishing your whole team.

I would advise that you just not type if you are angry, upset, or say insults or type passive aggressive text to your teammates. It's better to just not type and express nothing in text than to express negativity to your teammates. Typically people will calm down if you just don't reply to them. If they're being toxic, just mute and report and move on.
Don't compound toxic situations by adding your own toxicity to it.

You didn't get a game ban, you got a chat restriction. You just have limited number of messages you can type.
