no offensive language , no racist comments and i still got banned i do not understand . the shen in this camm kept calling me a N***** but he did not recive a ban i did i do not understand please help me to understand why i got a 24 game ban and he did not.

Most punishments like this are not about offensive language, they are about creating a negative environment in game. We're all players here, and we all deserve to have some fun playing this game, so when you say "wasted my time im wasting yours now" you're becoming part of the problem.

You should only be worried about your own punishment right now. If you reported that guy after the game he will get what he deserves, but for now look at why you earned your own punishment.

Did I say that? No, I said you earned your punishment. You didn't seem to understand why you got punished for your behavior, so I tried to enlighten you.

He will earn a punishment from his behavior, just as you earned a punishment from your own.

you get notifications when reports you make result in a ban i have not recived one, so no they will not be punished for it.

And one could say off you logic that if someone plays poorly they create a negative gaming environment, so can you report people for how they play?

You sometimes get a notification. It's well known to be a very unreliable feature, since it only happens if your report was the final one needed for the punishment given.

Now, you can report people based on how they play, but only if they are not trying to win. That's the key here, so long as you are legitimately trying to win you are safe from punishment. Hindering your team is not trying to win, just as arguing in chat is not actively playing the game.

If you run into a negative experience in chat your job is to mute the person in question and keep playing, not exacerbate the situation with more negative text.

EDIT: Figured I should put an example in as to why it's an unreliable feature. Say there is a really toxic guy on your team, and all four allies report him. Say this guy was also toxic in all chat, and someone on the enemy team reported him too. If the report from the enemy player causes the punishment not only will the enemy player get the notification, but all four allies will not get one because their reports did not trigger the punishment.

Only the player who's report triggered the punishment gets a notification, the rest are promised nothing.

Your chat reflects you constantly blaming your team and a generally negative attitude. You don't get ganks? Ask the jungler to gank. He still won't? Suggest ganking other lanes or steal jungle camps, and play safely. You can only control what you do in games, and if your jungler isn't keen on heeding your advice, there's not a whole lot you can do to force him to heed your advice.

I get that others may have been more toxic, but that doesn't excuse your actions.

And thus my post was directed to answering that.

Everyone is held responsible for their own actions. If you reported that behavior, then it will be looked into. You may or may not receive notification that they are punished, as either behavior you have mentioned are not acceptable. Both have distinct report categories in the end-game report screen.

i was the only one held responsible, i sent reports and got zero feed back. i understand what your saying i just don't understand how people get away with talking to me the way they do and end up giving me a chat restriction in the process it is not right

That doesn't excuse what actions?? The guy is trying to guide his team to victory by giving directions. The language he uses is completely up for debate though, this is where this ban system is going completely too far.

WHY ARE WE WILLING TO ALLOW AN ALGORITHM DECIDE A HUMAN PUNISHMENT? As human beings we can understand complex scenarios, this algorithm can't. The best RIOT could hope for is try to block offensive language. Look at this board...RIOT Games cannot even keep the N word out of people's names; yet you trust their algorithms to decide toxic language?? Come on boys let's use our critical thinking caps and make Esports better

Dude from this conversation this guy seems like the type of player I would like to have in a game...He apparently pinged multiple times, he tells his team that they need to ping. He calls someone out for bad language and when he says the game's over I'm guessing it's because his team just never got their acts together in that game. But you know what? Because of this guy at least they know how to be better for the next game. So I say thank you actually to this guy for improving those players for the next team.

If you want someone on your team who's only pointing out the negatives and calling teammates feeders, and giving up, then be my guest. But a majority or players don't want that.

I am guessing this is where you are referring to someone saying they used the N word. It's better to try and deescalate than to provoke. My advice here would just be to mute them because telling them that they're going to be reported doesn't actually help anyone. It usually makes them angry that you're reporting them and they just go more toxic because they're already getting punished. Mute and move on. Don't engage and give them something else to type about. Just mute and move on. You're not giving that person any more things to type about and you're deescalating the situation by removing that person's text from your screen so that you don't reply to it.

This is very defeatist and negative and I am guessing the ty for the pings is sarcasm because you keep talking about how no one pings earlier.

You're now being toxic. You admit that you are trying to waste people's time. Don't make a toxic situation more toxic by adding your own toxicity to the game. Don't try to punish one person by punishing your whole team.

I would advise that you just not type if you are angry, upset, or say insults or type passive aggressive text to your teammates. It's better to just not type and express nothing in text than to express negativity to your teammates. Typically people will calm down if you just don't reply to them. If they're being toxic, just mute and report and move on.

Don't compound toxic situations by adding your own toxicity to it.

You didn't get a game ban, you got a chat restriction. You just have limited number of messages you can type.
