Straight to Permaban?

A friend of mine got perma banned as his first offence ever, he has spent alot on his account for characters and skins. I'm pretty sure he wasnt even the one on his account for the short period that it was being toxic cause he is mellow compared to me and some of the other people we play with.

Is it always a first action to permaban someone for being toxic?

Have your friend submit a support ticket to ask for more details about the ban. He's really the only person that can get any details at all.

Outside of that, what specifically did the ban say it was for? There should be a notice if he tries to log into the client.

Wait, what?

That might be why it was banned. Riot will ban accounts that they think were hacked into, waiting until the rightful owner contacts Support to unban it.

Not usually -- in fact, it's fairly rare.

Do you have the chat logs associated with his punishment? We will be happy to take a look and let you know what might have triggered the immediate permanent ban, and whether or not it might be worth inquiring with Riot Support about adjusting it.

That said, what do you mean when you say "I'm pretty sure he wasn't even the one on his account?" Do you think he was hacked? If so he should definitely contact Riot Support.

post the chat logs and we can judge if it was worthy or not but most of the time post like these are gonna be downvoted to hell and once you show the chat logs its gonna be the most toxic stuff ever but who knows this could be different

Two options present themselves. 1 is that he could have been hacked and Riot noticed and locked his account. 2 is that he was hacked and the hacker trolled the game and said everything in his power to get your friend banned. 3 of course is that he had a bad day, met a troll and went off on him so badly that Riot took action.
